Help Samsung Galaxy S - Indian thread

Hi all.any fix for the lag in Jm2..and since i have upgraded to Jm2... I am not able to play the divx file. .It gives a message " your device cannot play divx protected files. " i wad able to play those on 2.1.

BTW You can use third party app from the market. I am using "chomp SMS" and it works fine. You can also use handcent app. Both works beautifully. You can send sms to more than 10 numbers.But the only gripe is that both app doesnt recognize "Default number" from the contacts. So you will have to assign default or primary numbers as "Mobile" tag. Then use "Use mobile number only" options in the settings of both app.

PS:- I havent tried sending sms to 100 numbers at a time(wow do you work in All india radio :p)

Hey Thanks for the detailed reply @nickporwal... I think the above should help me with, but disappointed to know that Samsung again missed out this basic thing in the messaging application.... but then if there are alternatives in form of apps then it can be managed....

and yes if I am texting it wont be All India Radio...It would be All India Mobile....lol

As its an android phone, you can get app to do this, I do not use tis feature hence cannot recommend you any app but if anyone is using any app to do this can suggest here ....

Although i might be wrong but you can try this thing

navigate to settings>legal information>licence settings>Divx VOD>Register.
I read somewhere that its related to protected files.
 
Thanks. @vinodis. On mote thing can we root on Jp3 and has any one used skype on froyo. I am unable to make calls from skype lite.
 
@ nickporwal thanks for the help the instructions u gave did work and i was able to register my device to plate divx files.
 
In the location u gave there is a divx code and a website.. Go there download the converter it will generate a small divx clip.. Copy and play it once on the phone and the codecs get registered..

No, I mean from where you download the protected divx files (music or movies)? i am able to play Normal divx files without registering.
 
Anyone knows if how to backup music playlists? Its a big headache for me to create playlists everytime i flash new firmware.

try sgpstore.com they have oleophobic screen guard which makes cleaning oil easy, and is glossy so screen clarity remains same.

I m having BSNL 3 G and MTNL 3 G both and i tried to use in my Samsung Galaxy S i 9000 and i m surprised to see that i can use mtnl 3 g and its easily configured by me
but i tried hell to start bsnl 3 g service on my phone but no success.
in my area bsnl connectivity is better (Gurgaon) so want to its 3 g service here
pls someone help me

BTW i tried bsnlnet setting already ( bsnl 3 g working on other phone tried that too )

Did you tried the settings posted in earlier post in this thread?
 
bro i tried every settings yaar
i want someone galaxy user who tried bsnl 3g in its phone
i can use 3g services in rest phones but only this phone i m not able to run
pls someone who is using this phone plus bsnl 3g help me out here

Nooh! It's also not working for me. I tried yesterday MyBackupPro, TitaniumBackup, SpriteBackup......none of them is working. Really it's a big issue to backup playlists :mad:
 
Hi Im new here soon going to be a proud owner of SGS (today or Monday). Cant wait and hope that Im able to move out of office on time today and get my hands on the beauty!!!
I just saw an Advt in the Newspaper today about Motorola Milestone XT720. Except for Screen and the Processor (not a huge difference) I dont see much of a difference.
I still wanna go for SGS but what do you all experts here think?
