Help Samsung Galaxy S - Indian thread

Thanks a lot Kalpik. It's really fortunate to have a discussion with an expert like you as I'm really new to android world. 1 thing man ! Were you very familiar with linux before jumping into android world ???
Yep! I've been a long time linux user. Linux is my primary OS since 7-8 years :)

@kalpik
Yes man !!! I already guessed that ! :cool::cool: I'm fairly familiar abt windows services and commands...but no idea abt linux. That's y facing a bit difficulty :(

Already flashed :D

My initial observations:

- The "Unknown error (0) on first boot (in recovery mode) is gone!
- The Media scanning > 100% bug is fixed.
- Black levels still not fixed.

JM2 is giving me very good battery backup. it gave me approx 37 hrs of medium usage. its definitely better than the stock one.

I bought Samsung Galaxy S as it was latest in android for 27500 ,I have a vodafone number , i called them for internet settings and to my surprise they said they

I have the stock firmware [i9000ddjf3] and i am facing the lag issues found by others also.

a. Which is better firmware [Can i move directly to I9000XWJM2].
b. If i want to move to 2.2 based build can i upgrade directly to I9000XXJP3 directly from the stock firmware [using odin?]

Thanks for sharing the experience.
