Help Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE

So, I was in South-Korea recently and I bought my self a brand new Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE. It is locked to T-world, a korean carrier. I live in Norway, so no T-world here! It is locked, and I need to type in a code to unlock it. I've been googling like a crazy man, but try to search for Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE, nothing else then the original S2 comes up, so its not very easy per say.. So I wonder if any of you guys have a clue. I found a few sites that offer an unlock code, but never for T-world nor my phone. So hopefully and fingers crossed one of you got a decent answer for me.

Even if you unlock it, it absolutely will not work. The bands on the korean phones are native only to korea and will work nowhere else in the world. If it was then literally all the super android followers will be sporting the GS2 LTE and not the unlocked GS2's.

I've seen a few examples of it working on another forum, so I still live in hope.
 
As far as I was aware, (and judging by the SGS2 forums we have here) there are 3 US variants for Sprint, AT&T & T-Mobile and an International version which covers the rest of the world so it might work.

Let me do a bit of digging and I'll let you know.

Hi, I am here now in Korea and I am using Samsung galaxy S2 hd lte and LG is my network carrier. At first I was worried because we asked someone in Yongsan if my phone can be open in the Philippines. And the saleslady said only T-world and KTF can be open. But then when we tried to insert the roaming sim from the Philippines it works. Then I asked how to get the IMEI of my phone, the other saleslady said the samsung has now IMEI and samsung galaxy S2 hd lte can be used automatically by others sims outside KOREA. Cause I tried to insert t-world sims to and it did not work. So I guess it is only lock for other carrier here in Korea. I will try to ask again regarding your situation in the T-world.

Also, I found some site where you need to pay (cellunlocker)
They said they only open T-world and KT because they are gsm carrier and LG is cdma carrier. So they cannot open my phone.
 
only samsung galaxy s 2 from KT (korea telecom/olleh) can be used in other countries.. phones that are bought from korea can be easily be unlocked free of charge just by calling the carrier (in korea, of course).. dial 114, ask the operator to network unlock your phone because you are going to your home country.. it is done over the air.. try to call on weekdays, office hours..

I just bought a Galaxy S2 LTE in Korea and it works in China perfectly with my UK Sim card...
I m just wondering how to get the IMEI --- dden0410 can you help?

I like how certain you are by saying "it absolutely will not work." I just moved back from Busan, South Korea, to Canada. I had this phone from LG U+ in Korea. I rooted and unlocked it, works just fine back here.
Only issue I ran into is that it won't let me send MMS, but thats not a huge deal to me. Just use a third party chat/text app.

Little bit late......but I just returned from Korea with my brand new LG-U+ SHV-E230L (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE)

On paper....all the 3g/4g bands match my carrier in Japan (NTT/Docomo).

However.....I cannot keep a signal on 3g or 4g. It goes in and out every 15-30 seconds.

Hmmmmmm.......I wonder how I can fix this! Cost me $1,000 USD
 
I have my Korean SHV-E230L working fine in Japan on 3G. 4G also works......but no voice.

I need/want to flash the modem.....but have no Japanese moden firmware to use.

Bottom line....its not the bands/freqs that prevent using in Japan...........but the internal carrier configurations in the CSC files.
 
Hi guys...
Do need your help about my cellphone s2 hd lte shv-120s skt carrier.
I bought it in korea last year when i was on vacation and i am originally from indonesia. Everything went well till i accessed SKT hidden menu "319712358" to set preffered signal (3G-2G-WCDMA). I am not prety sure it was major problem coz someone told me its because my firmware is obsolate (gingerbread 2.3). well here are the problems:
1.i cant make an outgoing call when d signal in 3G mode. Whilist, Its fine on 2G
2. i cant access to d internet when i am listening on mp3. Again its only happen while i am on 3G mode

really need your help in dis forum..actually one say i should reset factory my phone..but when i found that mine Had been unlocked d time i bought it i am scarred my phone will bricking (after read some references). other say i shoul upgrade the firmware into ICS 4.2 but when i tried its failed and a message emerge "USE SKT SIM TO UPGRADE".

Ive been searching fr a solution for 3 months and i end up with nothing..
Help me someone out there..
