Samsung Galaxy S3 for $50 on Black Friday

I'm in similar situation with staying on Sprint waiting for LTE via second tier. The 3G is so terrible and I'm using WIMAX so I wish there is an in between speed or better 3G here. Plus, with the release of the quad-core LG Optimus G vs dual-core SIII, I'm not sure what to do now. $199 for the quad-core is not bad at all.

Don't look at it as quad-core vs dual-core. That actually has not much of a bearing on being a better device. We've seen that with Tegra 3 vs Krait S4 on multiple fronts. However, I will say that the Krait S4 Pro does sound amazing, and if I could get that in my phone - I would be on it like white on rice. The only thing that scares me about the Optimus G is the fact that LG is making the software for it. Their track record regarding updates has made me a skeptic. They can always prove me wrong. I'm just not willing to sign the dotted lines until they do.

Does anyone know if this sale is going to be in store, online, or both?
Just got off the phone with Sprint and was told you can order the Galaxy S3 for $49 on Black Friday online, by phone or in the store. However, they stipulated that not every Sprint store is honoring the promotion. Best check with your local corporate Sprint store first.

Thanks, never thought about that route. Are you suggesting during the same transaction or a few hours or day later?

After the transaction, when you return back home. All you have to do is just go to Sprint.com > log into your account > select which device you want to activate a new device (From the drop down list) > then type in the DEC/HEX number (located under battery usually). Voila! :D

Just called Sprint and I was told the $50 sale would start tomorrow online.

Anyone confirm or interested in calling to see what you might be told?

Also read that AT&T matched the Sams Club sale price of $0.97 but the agent I spoke with didn't know.

I work Friday so I might miss the sale in store.

The deal can be done online as well as in-store.

I stopped at a Sprint store in Ocala, FL this afternoon. They said they are price matching sams clubs $.97but only on a new line of service.

I got a promo email from Sprint today saying that price is with a mailed in rebate. I hate those. Going to check out BB or Radio Shack, although I'm not too thrilled with RS.

No guarantee that either retailer has the same promo. In fact, BB might, but I know that RS doesn't have any deals going.

At least as of right now, the $50 for bb is for new customers only, $150 upgrade/add on. Hopefully $50 for add/upgrade when Friday rolls around :D

I live on Maui and my only option is a Sprint store.

But as mentioned, I work as the store will be opening and won't be off till late.

I guess I will try online tomorrow and hope it works.

And since I'm 5 hours behind est, I wonder if I should start trying to buy online later this evening in case quantities are limited.

Haha, I was on the Sprint store last night and it was slow and wouldn't render. I gave up. RS online was up and it's $99 for upgrades. Boo. Same with Amazon. I have a feeling it might be same with BB, too.

Yes it was extremely slow, at times not able to connect.

It was 10 here in Hawaii or 3am east coast time.

Yet I stuck with it and got through.
