Well scratch that, I called again and bugged them a bit more and because I changed the delivery address, my phone order lost it's place in the queue and will now be delivered Saturday however the free tablet I get with it will be delivered tomorrow.. worst yet it's being sent by Yodel, one of the worst courier services in the UK.. now I get to enjoy by from 7am-9pm delivery window frame for two consecutive days 
Still, I have a working tracking number for my tablet and a not yet working tracking number for my phone. If they have gone as far as assigning tracking numbers for orders, surely they should just send them both together.. logic seems to be lost with some companies.

So a month or more ago we hear that they have a target of selling 80M S4s, and now they say they have been surprised by the demand? Left hand not talk to right?
I suspect that the truth is that they're trying to put a positive PR gloss onto unfortunately not uncommon initial production shortages.

I have just rung my local Carphone Warehouse store who said pre-orders will be ready for collection on Saturday. I then rang their head office who say that pre-oders can be collected on Friday. They both insist they are right. Oh dear.

Just ordered mine from unlocked mobiles...not sure when i will get it. says order is processing.

They reckon they will get stock in the middle of next week, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I guess the general thing is that the much anticipated high demand is higher than anticipated.
Most places seem to be working on first come first served. So not guaranteed even if you have pre-ordered.
Vodafone I believe have a delay.
Three state expected deliver on the 3rd May same as Clove Technology.
Amazon UK don't even have a price now and state in a box that are experiencing delays (so my Monday/Tuesday guess has been blown out the water)
US carriers also have delays with many reports spread over the internet.
If you are 1 of the lucky ones, then congrats to you. However I can see a few disappointed people, and a large grin from HTC/Apple

Yup. I have that as well.
Same here! And if you notice on the right it says "Next Day Air Saver" which means tomorrow by 3 pm
Not having much more luck myself... I have a shipping confirmation by email yet the tracking code status hasn't been updated since I got it yesterday morning and is still supposedly yet to be picked up by Yodel.. seems a few people are also in the same boat over on the official Carphone Warehouse forums.
Tell me about it i pre-order with three on 29th Mar and have been told im not getting one yet either.
Seems to be the same for everyone. People are being told by CPW that they received far less stock than originally expected and that they will be getting more stock on Tuesday and Thursday. Have any of you who have just found out about the delays pushed for compensation? Someone on the CPW forums claimed CPW are offering
