Just received my new Jig. Phone off, Jig in and it just goes to download mode however ..... no writing in green and does not reset the counter.

Rang the seller and he informs its because I must have an older bootloader < think thats what he said - was in German > and that I should flash it via Odin.

can anyone advise/inform how I do this ?

Your firmware has a more recent bootloader that removed the binary counter reset feature. You can replace it with the previous bootloader; there's a link to it here.

I have grabbed GT-I9100_OLD_BOOTLOADER.tar.

Do I run it as it is in the 'Bootloader' option under Odin ?

Slug, if I installed the latest leaked ICS from Sammobile, do you know if it would have upgraded my bootloader? If it did, when I went back to KK5, would it put the old bootloader back on?

It's likely, but with leaked firmware who knows?

If that's Intratech's 'Frankenstein' KK5 then I'm sure it would. He replaced the new bootloader in those stock firmwares that shipped with it (KI1 onwards), so it's almost certain that he included it in his own packages too.
