Samsung Moment - USELESS PIECE OF SHAT!!!

I have never had my device lock up. I had a few random reboots (maybe 3 in 6 weeks), but that is all.

I suspect 3rd party apps are to blame for about 90% of the OP's issues.

The Google Voice "Toggle Widget" was responsible for my data issues... I uninstalled it and did a hard reset and everything has been cake since!

...it is targeted towards mobile broadband cards (and phones that offically support tethering) and home replacement of copper and fiber supported broadband (cable and DSL)...

Now you got me aiming for another criteria on a phone. I can imagine tethering a phone to my laptop and play Modern Warfare II in the office. :D

Successful troll is successful.

There are lemons with every product. Just because you got a lemon doesn't mean the entire product line is bad.

I love my Samsung Moment. Still haven't updated to CL14 yet but it runs excellent.

I believe you need to do a factory reset. Most likely it'll fix some of your problems.

before you do that reset make sure you sync a gmail acct to the phone to save your contacts. also I work for said 4G cell phone provider and I would NEVER buy a Samsung product. ask any 1st gen Instinct user how much they hate their phone.

Playing a FPS on a wireless connection even at 4g speeds would be horrible due to ping issues.

Make you fall in love with the phone

QFT. By loading joey's kernel on my phone and removing the apps made my phone ridiculously better. Battery life was significantly improved over stock CL14 (still kinda "meh" but much better than CJ05 and CL14). The phone is entirely functional, the sprint update utility made it super easy, and entirely fool proof (for me and most others).

ugh I had an instinct and it was not fun, now I'm having problems with my moment as well.
Maybe it's me? lol
nah.. it's samsung

What is the ping times on a 4G network? If it's below 100 ms I think I can manage. If it's above 200 I would find another genre like the SIMS.

But just in case you haven't noticed, I was joking when I was posted it. :D

I know our clear 4g at work pings 150-200 on pingtest. So I couldn't imagine it would be much better in a game. What ur boss doesn't like you playing games at work.

Nope, he said he will fire me. Maybe you can hire me and let me play while working. :D

I think 150-200 ms is still playable. I remember playing US Servers in the Philippines with 100-300 ms erratic ping.

Anyway, I apologize for hijacking the thread. Let's go back on topic.

I know it is horrible pinging ips and addresses at our store is horrendous on a 4g connection. Though I consider 100+ bad, used to playing with 30-50.

Well I was comparing it to 3g, and remember its in its infancy. Remember when 3g first rolled out(probably not, as most people didn't adopt 3g until recently). Well, its 10x+ better now. The same will happen with 4g, as more towers are constructed, and hardware is refined.
