Help Samsung s2 not working after update

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place. I updated my S2 on orange network from android 2 to Ice Cream Sandwich using samsung kies and now i am having issues with it. I cannot make calls or send texts. When i try to make a call it tells me that calls are barred from this number. I tried going into the settings and unbarring but my passcode is not working, even after a factory reset. I also do not have any data coverage so cannot access the internet when away from my wifi. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you had any luck getting this fixed? I was going to suggest a factory reset but I see you have tried that. I assume you have the Galaxy S2 International so I'll move this to that forum. Maybe someone has seen this problem before.
