Accessories Samsung Vibrant Cases

Pics of my new argyle case from Daydeal. So far it's my favorite after using the T-mobile gel case and the Samsung OEM Blue & Black case. Don't get the OEM blue and black case. The black rubs off VERY easily exposing the blue underneath. Very poor quality. And it's too floppy, so I've pulled the phone right out of the case when I had it in my jean pocket on multiple occasions.

All cutouts align very nicely on this case.

I like this barely there case but I need bezel protection... I already have a nice dent on my bezel from a drop... the screen is fine though with no scratches or anything like that.

Same here!

I got a dent on the top part of bezel, near the USB hole. I dropped my phone in the sink while I was applying the Realook screen shield (which is a POS btw and had to throw it away b/c it creates bubbles near earpiece from lack of adhesion).

My dent experience is why I will NEVER get the Barely There case or any case that doesn't cover the bezel completely!

Instead, I got the Case-Mate Tough case. This case is bullet proof. It reminds me of the Otterbox case for my iPhone that's a hybrid build like this one.

If you think your phone if dropped won't fall on the unprotected part of the case, THINK AGAIN. It can happen. It happened to me. Just protect your phone and get something that does the job correctly, even if that means adding some weight, loss of aesthetics or bulk.

Like my old Otterbox iPhone Case, the Case-Mate Tough case adds enough meat to this thin phone that most likely will prevent me from dropping it again. Without any case, the Vibrant feels too light and thin to the point that I always felt that it'll slip thru my hands. With the Tough case, the phone now feels SURE-HANDED enough....

Hey guys, [semi]first time poster here.

Anyway, I'm considering two cases right now on eBay:

White Hard Rubber Case + Film For Samsung Vibrant T959 - eBay (item 220662108650 end time Sep-29-10 02:48:25 PDT)

Ivory White Hard Case Cover for Samsung Vibrant T959 - eBay (item 350395165759 end time Oct-17-10 14:53:49 PDT)

I read the above posts about bezel protection, which is kind of making me lean towards the second one, but I don't like that the second one is glossy.

Does anyone know of white hard cases with a matte/rubber finish?

I've only found this: WHITE RUBBERIZED Hard Case Samsung Vibrant T959 - eBay (item 180561670931 end time Sep-22-10 19:24:29 PDT)

However, I don't like the extra plastic covering the earpiece.

Does the bezel really dent that easily? Can someone post some pictures of their dents?

The bezel dents quite easily. I dropped my phone chest level and hit the porcelain soap dish on the side of the sink.

It left an eraser sized dent on the top front near USB. The paint didn't scratch out though, which is good. The glass didn't scratch either. To me, that's small drop! The soap dish survived with no chips (Thank God!, LOL!).

Had I had the "Tough Case" on at the time, this wouldn't be an issue. With the" Barely There Case" on, it would STILL have dented as the case is more aesthetic than of ANY meaningful protection.

The only reason the Tough case wasn't on at the time of the "incident" was b/c I was applying the bubbly Realook screen in the bathroom after a shower to keep the dust low.

Not only did the Realook screen leave bubbles near the earpiece of a spotlessly clean phone, but my 2 week old $420 phone got dented! :(

Just yesterday, I picked up a very nice leather hip (belt) case for my new Vibrant for only $5.00! It's the Verizon Droid Eris Leather Pouch...I think the Eris is being (or has been) discontinued so the pouches are being sold dirt cheap. And the bonus - I have a soft rubber case protecting my Vibrant and it still fits in the pouch nicely. It's a little snug but has loosen up already in a day's use. The sales man tried to sell me the 4 he had left and I almost bit but left them. I think of the Verizon logo on the case as my "Clark Kent" disguise that hides my "Superman" Vibrant! Love it! ;)

Does anyone know of any replacement back covers? It would be neat to swap out the plastic for the exact same shaped piece of brushed aluminum.

so I'm deciding whether to buy the mesh case on ebay or the barely there case by CM,
anyone got them can give some opinion?
(would love to have an opinion from someone who own the silver barely there and white mesh)

I have the Barely-there case. I think it's the best and most professional looking one on the market. I mean the bezel already has enough of a lip to prevent the screen from touching the surface of where you want to lay your phone down.

At first, I hated the Vibrant's back because it was so slippery and slick. The case gives it a matte soft-touch finish on the back of the phone. It feels great in the hand and it's easier to grip. Now the front of the phone looks like an iPhone and the back feels like a HTC phone. The soft touch plastic is a great mold too so quality isn't a problem.

I'm starting to sound like I work for Case-Mate right now so I'll let someone else chime in for the Mesh case. Still, I don't think you'll be disappointed if you chose this case.

that's me reason making me not sure about the barely there case
I adore the shiny black surface on vibrant's back
I always hate any sort of matte finish, do you think I should give the silver one a try?

got the case today. it's really nice. the black border is flexible TPU and the back is a hard, clear, matte plastic. got it for 8 bucks on ebay

I just got this one today. I think the flexible part feels a bit cheap but the plastic back is really nice. It'll take me some getting used to as I've been using the Barely There case for the past few weeks--this one is definitely a bit bigger but is by no means a bulky case.

Glad to see this. Still waiting for mine. Cant wait!

Edit: When did you order yours btw? Must have came fast for you since you're from the US.
