Yes, you people. I've also used Android since it came out and haven't had any of the problems that get reported because I leave the damn phone alone. I don't try to tweak the OS, root, I don't yank the battery because I'm sure it's gone too long etc. There are times when an update might freeze a phone, but I'd love to hear HONESTLY whether people really did nothing, or did they pull the battery/re-boot while it was updating because of impatience. I just don't buy the level of failure rate that I see on here without some form of human error. You people?
Listen I dealt with Android phones for almost 2 years so I am not a damn rookie.
This phone performed an update from a stock unit and now I am stuck in GPRS and my phone screen is washed out.
I spoken with T-mobile already and they already said I am not the first person to call with that problem.
after the update my battery life is atrocious. wtf
Just got the update and haven't noticed any change for better or worse. The GPS is exactly the same. When I'm indoors its off by 1600 meters or whatever. Battery meter is still off.
I don't have a problem with this phone whatsoever but if your going to promise something do it. I would have been happier if they never made any announcement.
Mileage varies. Where do you reside?

I don't use navigation on the phone, I tried it over the summer for my vacation and it's not that reliable. However location services need a GPS to work accurately. I also use Dishpointer that requires your GPS on you device to work efficiently. Now with the update I can use the apps since turning on GPS doesn't cause a reboot, unfortunately the update brought me a new set of problems.I live in S. Florida. Its pinpointing my location in the same exact place that it used to before the update which is about 1/2 mile off. My old cliq was almost accurate to which room I was in. I still don't know what exactly this update was all about cause I really don't see any difference in my phone except I gained a task manager and that movie app thing.
I never really cared about what most people complained about b/c I never used the nav all that much and when I did I was in a pretty open area. I got used to knowing how dead my battery was by the time it reached the middle. But all this talk about fixing this and that with the update got me excited about nothing.
Its like when your not hungry until someone asks if your hungry or offers you food. You run to the fridge just to be disappointed by the emptiness. Thats how I feel about this situation.
Yes. Especially in an area with a weak 3G signal, the phone will try to transmit more power to maintain the connection, which can drain your battery 3x faster than it would otherwise.ok at risk of showing newnienessness gsm only will provide longer battery life?
Connection speed.At what expense?
Just a little update, my battery died extremely fast today. Unplugged today at 9 a.m. and died at 3 p.m.
as mentioned above, i factory restored.
unplugged around 4:30pm, went to gym and listened to pandora for about 2 hours.
3-1/2 hours since unplug and i'm sitting at 87%.
tbh this appears better than before the update (knock knock!). small sample size tho.. i will keep my fingers crossed.
will give an update tomorrow morning.
So I'm late studying and I go to check my phone to see what time is. Its 230 but that's not what surprises me. Its the fact that after I did a factory reset to hopefully fix my battery problem, I created another problem(maybe).
I am unable to get 3g signal and I'm stuck on edge. Indoors or outdoors. I have lived in this house for a year and in this area almost my entire life. I have never had a problem with 3g signals. Are any of you experiencing this problem or am I the only one? Before you ask ill tell you. I am set to auto of GSM/wcdma and I tried each individually to no avail. If it is fixable, someone please tell me.
I hope T-Mobile is doing some servicing of the towers and that's all it is.
