Help saving images from SMS messages?

Anyone know how to save images that are sent via SMS? It gives me an option to save the SMS but not the images.

1. What does it do with the SMS when its saved?
2. How do you save the images?

Press and hold on the image thumbnail in the conversation itself, select "save attachment". It'll throw it in your gallery.

Or, Save MMS in Market. I've used that for a while. Ugly, does the job. Pulls up all MMS items and lets you choose which to save by tapping them.
