Root Saying goodbye to the Evo V and VM :(

I found an awesome deal on Craigslist for an unlocked Gnex for 200 dollars and I went for it (i was really wanting this phone for a while).

I'm switching to 4G Monthly on T-Mobile :D.

It's been great fun being on this part of the forum with all the great devs. Good luck with the future, guys!

P.S. How do I go about returning the Evo V to complete resale stock? I'm looking to do that pretty soon...

You bastard *sniff sniff... Don't you think you can come crawling back when that phone doesn't treat you like it should... GO! *sniff.

$299 for the 8GB model of the Nexus 4 sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Not a bad deal at all. $299 It wasn't very long ago you could not even order one. They were out of stock and not taking orders. Now at least you can order one. Get it in 2-3 weeks

I think he was talking about the original nexus. I think that is what the kid bought. No way he got a NEW nexus unlocked for $200.

My wife and I both had VM. I recently bought her an AT&T GS3 and am running it on NET10. 45/mo unlimited and the speeds are great 5-8 mb/s which plenty fast enough for her. The phone is great and I will most likely go this route when my EVO needs replaced. Like my EVO but it's sucks to jump back in that honda after driving a ferrari. :-) One great thing about the EVO though is the dev support and the amount of customization you can do to it.

No, that's for the Verizon (CDMA) network.

I'd recommend this phone instead.

Thanks, this is what im getting next month hopefully.

All i need is to really decide which carrier to pick, tmobile or straight talk, compare coverage in my area, i know that tmobile offers 5gb of 4g data.

i don't know how straight talk works and how good is the service, i really don't want to pay $45 for minutes i don't use, all i use is data and wifi.

I did some coverage checking, and TMobile doesn't really have great service in my area. And I can't justify paying MORE for a phonebill by going to Straight Talk (I never use my minutes.)

So really. Looks like I'm sticking around VM for a bit ;) Hopefully I see some nice new phones soon.

No :(.

It's not THAT outdated. One of the best screens on the market. The camera is also really good quality. Not to mention the H+ is really nice.

I can agree with you. If T-Mobile was reliable here, I'd consider it. I'm pretty happy with ny 3vo though. I just wish it had a kickstand like my og EVO.

I'm actually surprised how good it is here. It used to suck; now it covers places where VM didn't.

I'm sure eventually I'll get good GSM service here. But then there's the problem if i visit home (New Jersey.) Where I lived there....absolutely a dead zone for about 5 miles.
