Root Saying MoD unkown??

i tried the D2 and it brought up the same thing....

You can go into the stock Moto recovery and wipe cache and wipe data/factory reset, reboot the phone; after that you can re-root and install D2 bootstrapper again.......or instead of doing that you can just flash the full sbf with RSD lite.

I did the full sbf With RSD lite and well it says it pass but when it rebooted it put me into roaming now....ARGH. I seriously seriously messed up my phone and should have left it well alone...But noooooooo.....where can I find the stock moto recovery....like walk me through it if you can...Sorry Im being a whiner and bugging you, but its my only means to get ahold of my husband when he is away.... bah humbug.

Oh when I did the SBF thing is it supposed to say bootloader version N/A and the RAM supposed to say N/A as well???

Can I take out my memory card will that help as well??

You mean you have a blue triangle in the status bar? If you do, dial *228 and select option 1 to reprogram your phone.

Well at this point try to re root it and get the bootstrap app working again since it should be and then flash the maderstock.zip that will take you to the current OTA supported by both Motorola and Verizon. Stock. Day 1 out of box experience if you do a factory reset in settings:privacy:factory data reset then apply the maderstock.zip file.

If you flashed the sbf then do what Aggie said and do a factory reset....your data wasn't erased by doing the sbf....once you factory reset the data will be erased and you will be back to stock like you want.

I finally was able to re-root it and get bootstrapper back on. Got it back to the way it was before I messed up minus getting it back on to the 2.3.3. Should I just leave it alone, now that its running smoothly or do you think I should still try n put the current OTA back on there?

Well seeing as how it's not supported by motorola nor verizon if you ever needed assistance with it in the store they would know what's up and your warranties would be voided. I honestly think your best bet would be to use flash the maderstock.zip file. After this you will be on the OTA without root so you could then get assistance from verizon or whomever you choose. I also just don't think that release is the best one yet. . .

Lol, Im back....Well I did the maderstock flashin it from the bootstrap and well it didnt work...I did the wipe/factory reset but it still saying ERI 5 and PRL 58006 ?? The build is saying VZW....smh?

no syh with that. My ERI is 5 and PRL is 5220 PRL stands for preferred roaming list. It's basically the protocol that your phone uses to decide which tower in your area it wants to send its data to and fro. The build should be VZW on stock.

And what do you mean it didn't work. Like your back to stock but what you said about the ERI and PRL is the only thing that 'didn't work'???

Yes. Is that ok that its on there...Or is that supposed to be gone or saying something else?? I just dont want no more hiccups with the phone..And if anything comes across where I need verizon to help me I dont want them to think I avoided the warranty....

Right :) you should be good to go. That maderstock.zip file works wonders. It's the OTA in a zip file. So it's as if you got the OTA from Verizon.

Ok, awesome! now...I see alot of people cravin about this fission...Ive only had apex.gummyJAR and Jrummy16 on my phone...Is rubix or fission any better....

I personally love fission. I have tried them all and always come back. I went from fission as my main ROM when it first came out. I'm talking OG fission lol. Then switched to GummyJar. Then liberty. then came back to Fission. In my opinion, best battery life out of them all and best integration of android without blur. Nice and snappy. Now that you are a pro at getting back to stock you may want to give fission a try. Check out this link for more information. And also with Fission you have so much support here as myself, Bouchigo, and Faber all use it as our daily driver. So we can help support and we are also tweaking and modding fission for other users.

oK So I downloaded the fission...and i followed directions well when it rebooted, it popped up with multi keybored something or other and wants me to always force close, anyway to go about that?

Update: Never mind, I figured it out.
