Root SBC kernel for Sense roms

Only foyo and aosp at this point. There have been plenty of people working on it in the past, but none could get it to work on gingerbread

OK thanks, I am happy with decks aosp gingerbread and the sbc I have but a guy I know may be more comfortable with sense, and the ability to use the ## menu and the battery life and usability on sbc is awesome.

well he can try a froyo rom and then use netarchy toastmod's sbc kernels:
[Kernel]netarchy-toastmod, Stable: 4.3.1 Beta: 4.3.4 (17-Mar-2011) Now With HDMwIn - xda-developers

i would try the 4.3.4 cfs sbc more havs kernel. that worked well for me. but you know kernels are always YRMV.

also if you go froyo, i would recommend that you try mikfroyo 4.61 and koni's elite series iii. those were two of my favorite froyo roms.

Thank you for the suggestions but I dont think he would want to go back to froyo, while it was great at the time the improvements in gingerbread are tough to resist.

I would off what I am doing.
I use Boot Manager
I have MikG 3.0 as the main ROM on my phone, then I used Boot Manager to install a second ROM on it and I use Warm 2.2 RLS5 in slot 1( if you use BM it will make sense) Then I installed the Netarchy kernel listed above in that ROM, so now I can run my daily ROM, MikG all day, then I switch to Warm at night to charge with SBC. Most times I can go 2 days on a 3500 batt on Mikg and it takes about 6 hours to charge with Warm.

BM is a great program now with all the updates. It is pretty much Bullet proof. There are posts on here by me and a few others on how to avoid any troubles. READ THEM FIRST!!

Thats a good idea. I used to do something similar with an AOSP ROM in a slot but I'm gonna throw warm 2.2 on there and see how that rolls. Just not a big fan of AOSP

Well, its working great so far... Had classes in basements with no reception. This usually causes the phone to drop 10-15% if I keep everything on. The SBC charge from the Froyo SBC kernels held the phone at 100% for 2.5 hours. I'm at 5 hours now and sitting at 96%.

Cool!! I am not liking the Anthrax kernel using MikG 3.0. I was getting 2 full days with the Freedom kernel in this set up with an SBC charge on a Seidio 3500, I am just getting about 18 hours on the Anthrax and it is sort of laggy.

I will still experiment a little with it though. not going to give up. I am trying to figure out what is draining it by tracking usage.
