Root SBF from USB not working...

Hello all,

A few weeks ago, I loaded all the necessary files on a USB stick to run an SBF for my DroidX. Ran it at the time and it worked. It took a couple times for my laptop to boot properly, but it worked.

I tried to SBF again yesterday and I cannot get the laptop to boot properly. I restart the laptop and am able to get into the proper screen to choose to boot from USB. When I select that option and hit enter, the laptop boots normal into Windows. I've tried every USB port on my machine and nothing works.

Any ideas on fixes for this? Thanks everyone.
 
try a cd instead, i use a usb because i can do it anywhere, with a cd you just cant carry it around with you, so get yourself a cd and burn the iso image to the disk, and boot to a cd, if your pc fails to boot to either usb or cd, you may have errors in your bios, and in that case run your windows recovery disk and try to repair it
 
Or you could get the team black hat app and download the 2.3.340 sbf zip file, throw it on your sd card, and flash away. Easiest sbf to date.
 
I'm not even sure what the difference is. All I know is you can flash this file like you would any other file.

I'm about to try this method. Been back on Gingerbread from CM7 and can't stand the lag so going back to CM7 via SBF and restoring a previous Nandroid - hope that works. :o

Worked great for me. I'm now back on CM7 ;) I would recommend this method of SBF to anyone! Very simple and fast... Works just like installing a rom.

So let me get this stright, all you would have to do to SBF is take the zip that you downloaded to your computer and put it on you phones sd card then reboot into CWR and flash the SBF zip and they your good to go?

Yes but actually you get it from the TBH app so you just go to the teamblackhat DIR on your SD card and it's in there already. You can choose and apply it straight from there.
