Root Scared to root :(

I have an HTC incredible I know how to root it but I'm scared of what might happen someone help!!!!

I was scurred too Do it when your confident and ready. I got my DInc in April and I rooted it like 2 days ago.

OP, rooting is very easy. You just need to know if your phone had an AMOLED or SLCD screen. I'm guestimating from the date of your post you have the SLCD screen. So do I. And I rooted my DInc 2 weeks ago. Read, read, read....all the rooting posts here, download the root guide stickey in this section...read that at least 3 times VERY carefully...then go for it! Patience is good though-you can never read enough about other peeeps experiences. Good Luck. And let us know when you've rooted. I'm having way more fun with my DInc then with my jailbroken/unlocked iPhone3G

Investigate the method, become familiar with it. If you're still afraid after that, stay stock. Rooting isn't for everyone.

It's hard to justify rooting if you have no clear reason to. I did it so I could tether my internet for free, remove ads in certain free apps like Pandora and flash different ROMs that enable features that the stock ROM doesn't support. An example would be flashing Cyanogen 6.1 ROM so I can have the ability to use a wii controler to play games via SNESoid and GENoid. Just some examples.
