Help Screen gets dimmer then brighter?

I've noticed over the past month or so, my Dinc's screen will brighten then dim randomly as I use my phone. It is very noticeable and very frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing this?

dumb question, you have it set at a certain brightness or auto brightness

I have it too. I'm on manual brightness at around 30%. Myn's Warm 2.2, one of the only minor annoyances I've experienced on this Rom.

Any idea what's causing it? I'm wondering if my display is going out?

Naw, I don't think so. There must be something in the newer Roms/kernels that's causing it. I think a lot of the devs share the same code when advancements are made so it'd be no surprise if it were affecting multiple Roms.

Seems to be based off the light sensor, almost like when it's too bright, the manual % is being overridden to compensate kinda like a semi-auto. Once I tip the phone down away from the light source, that's when I noticed the darkening. Same thing when I cover the light sensor.

i just starting getting this about 2 days ago. say i'm readying a webpage, or looking for for words in wordfued... the screen will dim, then brighten. sometimes only once, sometimes about ever 20 seconds.

i usually have my screen set on auto dim - so i set it manual... still having the issue. this is a brand new (2 weeks old) phone. stock, only a couple of apps installed so far but i've had all of them since before the dimming started.

it doesn't drive me crazy yet - but it is annoying while reading webpage... i've yet to figure out what's causing it... i've been trying to note conditions when it happens to try to track it down. (maybe it's an ohio thing ;) )

Mine is less than a week old and its having the same issue. I notice it especially when I'm texting. Not an Ohio thing, I'm on the east coast... Anyone have a resolution for this problem yet???
