Screen half dimmed after ics update

I've always had problems with my galaxy s2(bought it about a year ago), but everything seemed better after having updated to ics last week. but then I noticed that whenever I tilt the screen sideways, the right half(just a bit more than half actually) is dimmed. It's not disastrous but fairly annoying.
Does anyone know what this might be and how I can solve this?

as far as i know, the ics fw is sorta unstable at the moment.. you should try flashing to GB and get an ICS rom.

Seeing as the OP stated that he only recently updated to ICS, that is pretty pointless advice.

@bryandvst: that sounds like a hardware fault with the screen itself, so I advise contacting your carrier/supplier asap and investigating a warranty repair.
