Help Screen Not Turning On

Hi all..

My Evo (stock Froyo, unrooted) is having a screen issue but not one I've seen anyone else post about.

When I hit the Power button (to turn on the screen, not power down), when the screen is already off, sometimes it does not turn back on. For example, I have the phone in my pocket, on but on standby. When I hear the email or text notice "ding", I pull it out, push the button on top and nothing happens.

When I've done it a few times, I'll notice a little bit of light behind the screen but nothing on the screen. Also, the 4 buttons on the bottom (home, menu, etc.) light up but I can't get them to do anything when I press them.

Usually it goes away after a while and I can use the phone normally, but its not predictable.

Anyone else seen this? Have a fix?

Sounds like you need to head to a sprint repair store to me. Let a few others chime in, so what they say too.

try doing a soft reset. power off then wait 10 seconds the reboot. if that does not work you may either try a hard reset ( you will loose data) or you can do what lesawag mentioned and take it in to get fixed.
