Root Screen problems. Weirdness. Help.

Okay so today my battery gets down to about 30. I turn the phone off and throw it on the charger so it will charge faster. About 2 hours later I get off work, unhook my phone and head to the house. Well I start noticing that screen isn't wanting to turn on. The lights on the home keys light up but the screen wont cut on. I hit the power button over and over and it will come on sometimes right at the last second before it times out, so it cuts right back off.

Now I can hold down power to get into the boot menu and exit out of there to get the phone to wake up properly. I turned off juice defender and setcpu just to make sure it wasn't a problem with either of those. I haven't changed anything on my phone today. And it will also freeze up if im browsing around the settings or something within the phone. What could this be? It's aggravating.

Hooked up to USB for charging and it works fine. But if I take it off it starts being slow to wake again. The screen will turn on if I hit the power button right after I put it to sleep But if i wait about 5 minutes and hit the power button it won't open or it's really slow.

Anyone? This is really bothering me. I don't know if it's a hardware problem or a system problem. Any thoughts? Anyone?

I checked my SD card and it says that it isnt mounted? Hmmm. So I just pulled the card out and it seems to be working fine, atm. Could an sd card be doing this? Strange?

So after pulling the SD card and putting it back in it seems to have fixed the problem. Very strange. I don't know how the SD card became unrecognized in the first place? I couldn't mount it or unmount it and there was no description of GB left or used. Very strange. Regardless it's fixed.

This happened to me today.
My screen wouldnt turn on and my battery was at 40%.
I just took the battery off and it worked.

if the sd card seemed to affect it then I would make sure to move all your apps to your internal sd card. I've had a broken sd card before and I would'nt have known unless I looked at it under a microscope(little bit of an exaggeration)

Everything gets installed to the internal anyways. Only thing I keep on the external is the ROM zips, theme zips, wallpaper pics, titanium backups. Stuff like that. I keep it all backed up on my PC as well in case anything ever happens.

lol I'm stupid. The SD card thing is just because your phone is in mass storage assuming you are hooking it up to a computer. Now the screen not coming on can be a number of issues. Try unistalling ROM toolbox and keeping setcpu. Better yet if you have titanium backup just backup juice defender, rom toolbox, then wipe data, then freeze both apps.
After that just go to set cpu and go to the profile area and make a profile for charging AC and make the max at around 1.4Ghz and the min at about .3Ghz and set scaling to ONDEMAND, then priority at 100. Let me know if that helps.
