Accessories Screen Protector / Invisible Shield?

In the past I've had my 'order status' say 'loading dock' , but I had the product already in hand...I dunno...could be a similar instance here...I wouldn't worry.

Droid Incredible is a new and hot product...zagg's / verizon site / etc., could sure use a little more organization....but that can happen to any business.

Hey, I still have 40% off on 'anything Zagg' ... PM me if u need it.

Hey guys, I emailed SGP about their protector for the Incredible and got the following response:
Excellent! I'm going to be very paranoid about taking my Incredible anywhere until I can get a protector on the screen. I hope it comes with some plastic film stuck on it that I can leave on until SGP can send on the protector to me.

(I probably will be leaving my phone carefully on surfaces and not let it ride in my pocket until I find a protector)

So, just to make sure I'm understanding this right, Steinheil is just a screen protector (crystal clear or anti-fingerprint) while the SGP shield is one of the screen protectors PLUS something to go on the back of the phone?

Anyone ever try Ghost Armor? My local AZ BB installs it.
My local AZ BB has installed them on my Eris and on my Brother in Law's. I wrote it up elsewhere, but I am very happy with GA and like it much better than Zagg's Invisible Shield (less orange peel, and both the IS's that were installed on my Eris had material defects).

The only 2 issues I have with GA (for Eris) are that the material is slightly smaller than the surface it covers, so the softkeys (at the very bottom of the product) aren't completely covered, resulting in an uncomfortable ridge that I sometimes press (this doesn't look like it'd be an issue with the Incredible), and the fact that the circle cut out for the sensor at the top left bisects the edge of the material, resulting in a couple of points that can snag on things like pockets and peel back the material.

Those two issues aside, the GA is great. It's crystal clear and much smoother than the IS. If you have a BB that is equipped to install it (they have a special drying machine that they'll want to put it in for 20 minutes), then GA is a great way to go. You can also get it fixed/replaced locally if it's ever damaged.

You probably don't want a whole-body film protector. For one thing, the Incredible looks to have the same "rubberized" backplate that is so awesome on the Eris (similar to what's on an LG EnV touch, but better). Not only is this really nice and grippy, it also won't hold a film protector as well. I don't know SGP, but I wouldn't want a full body Invisible Shield or Ghost armor on this device.

I liked ghost armor when I had it, it feels good to the touch and seems to do a decent job protecting the phone. It is a pain in the arse to install yourself, but obviously that isn't something you would have to worry about.

Where did you hear that it wasn't scratch resistant?

As for protectors, Invisible Shields are pretty much the bees knees.
I prefer Phantomskinz. I had always used Invisible shield. Phantom skinz goes on easier, stays on longer, and looks better.

Wouldn't the Steinheil (sp?) for the Nexus 1 work for the Incredible (both 3.7 inch screens) or does it take into account the placement of the front facing keys as well?

You're exactly right, I wouldn't want a whole-body film protector either. I just wanted to make sure I understood the difference so I get the right one. I really don't even want to get any type of case for it, just a screen protector, but I'll probably try to find something minimal that makes the camera on the back flush.

question for everyone..im going to be recieving my DI today before 3pm.. woohoo! but my question is i still need a screen protector..i def want the sgp but until i get that i want something covering the display sooo i def want something covering the whole face of the phone but i did see bb offers a screen protector that u can cut yourself and i know its crappy but you can cover whole face or go with verizon and just cover the screen and i noticed its a privacy screen protector which is pretty cool..what would all of you do???

Does Steinheil even have a website? I can't seem to find it. Saw the video review of the matte vs. crystal clear - looks awesome! When will these be available?

question. is there any avalible now that dont need a application solution like the zagg?? just a standard screen protector that covers the whole front screen?? I was thing of getting zagg but ive used bodyguardz before and though it went fine, did not like it very much. IMHO still better than zagg though.

I'm also holding out for the Steinheil but I want the anti-fingerprint one because it supposedly is also an excellent anti-glare. I could be wrong.

Boxwave for sure. I received an email form them saying that they would have screen protectors available on may 7th. They will have it in crystal clear and clear touch anti-glare. Both are very nice I have used them on my last 4 phones. Very happy with them.
you can see what hey have for the n1 right now for comparison.

I have heard GREAT things about your shields. When will you have them available for the HTC Droid incredible?? I get the phone next week and would really like to have a screen protector (preferably yours) then! Are you also planning on additional cases etc for that phone? cant wait!

They have NO plans to make the shield. Time to start looking elsewhere. Lame.

I used a 50% off code for Zagg and have that one coming (hopefully) soon, they shipped it yesterday and it typically hasn't taken too long for them to get to me. I am really interested in getting the anti-fingerprint Steinheil though once it comes out.
