Accessories Screen Protector / Invisible Shield?

no, they're all slightly different. sgp will have screens available by launch (4/29) and zagg (invisible shield) already has incredible screens available now.

Thanks for the Vid! Tough call between those two though. I'm leaning towards the anti-smudge/glare one. Just as long as it doesn't dull the screen. Not having it be so reflective looks as though it would help with the brighter/outdoor type of situations.

Hmmm, I wonder which screen protector will make the DI screen WORSE in daylight. The crystal clear is so smooth, and you'll be able to see your reflection more, which is a distraction. The anti-glare doesn't do that, but usually diffuses more of the ambient light, which I think makes it worse in broad daylight.

This sounds a lot like the debate between matte and glosse LCD screens on laptops. I personally liked matte, because I HATED seeing reflections, which is why I like my DLP TV screen. So right now, I think I'm leaning anti-glare/anti-fingerprint.

Also, the Incredible screen is deemed too saturated by some reviewers, so an anti-glare screen could actually lessen that and not lose much of its beauty. I will probably throw the Verizon screens on the two DI's I'm getting until the anti-fingerprints come out from SGP.

My wife has an anti-glare protector on her iPhone and it is amazing. Really does a great job with the glare, but it is smooth as silk when you run your finger over it. No stick whatsoever. Gonna wait til that brand has one for the incredible. Cant think of the name right now.

i personally will be ordering BOTH the anti fingerprint and crystal clear from SGP.

joehero, are you referring to the steinheil?? (aka SGPstore.com) non stick is the BEST

SGP Store in an email said that it will be available once the Incredible is "released to market"...."will be available on website." "Please keep an eye on us"

I'm just going to follow this thread for a little while after it comes out and see what the reviews are like then, so be sure to let us know what everyone ends up buying and what they think about it. I have a Zagg on my iTouch right now and don't mind the "tackiness" of it, but I did fall asleep on it one night and now there is a "dent" in the shield which is super annoying. The anti-glare in that video looked great to me, but you could definitely tell it was on there, I wonder what impact it will have on the display quality.

Well, everyone... you can count SGPstore out for now. I emailed them last night about the Droid Incredible and here is their response.

I have heard GREAT things about your shields. When will you have them available for the HTC Droid incredible?? I get the phone next week and would really like to have a screen protector (preferably yours) then! Are you also planning on additional cases etc for that phone? cant wait!

They have NO plans to make the shield. Time to start looking elsewhere. Lame.

FYI...

Hello,

I'm buying the HTC Incredible and was wondering when you guys will have screen protectors out for it. BTW love your products.

Thanks,
Keith

So I have a very similar anti-glare/anti-smudge screen protector that looks very similar to the one in the video review. You can tell that it's on there, especially in comparison to without it, but after awhile you just get used to it. I'll probably go with it since I hate seeing smudges all over my screen!

So I entered in Zagg's iPad Giveaway contest and they emailed me a code for 50% off your order before April 30th...damn I wish I entered before I bought my screen protector!

If anybody is planning on buying Zagg anything, make sure to enter for the iPad and wait for that email.

Good news for those looking for Screen Protectors other than Zagg.

Previous emails to SGP for their Steinheil screen protectors yielded uncertainty. But today I received this:

Hello. Will you have the crystal clear screen protector for the HTC Droid Incredible soon? I was going to get a Zagg screen protector since they have them in stock but I'd rather get one of yours if available. Thanks.

Just thought I would post the response I got from SGPStore.com, i had read another response that sounded more like they did not intend to make them, so in case anyone was wondering about it, here's what they told me:

Interesting, all the inquiries really have seemed to work.

Adding to that list, I heard back from Best Skins Ever tonight and they will definitely be producing skins for the DI. Here's the email they sent:

"Hello Rachel,

We plan to offer Skins for the Droid Incredible shortly after it is released.

You can sign up for notification when we will be accepting orders HTC Droid Incredible Skin

Thank you for your interest. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We look forward to serving you in the future.

Looks like FULL BODY COVERAGE is only $7.99  A bargain for sure and good reviews. I signed up for updates at the link above so I'll know when it's available. I think at this point I'm gonna wait and try to be uber careful with my DI for the first little bit using my universal Timbuk2 case until more of these skins and cases come onto the market. I might be tempted in a hybrid of a Seido Innocase on the back with a screen protector of some description on the front.

Boxwave all the way. My first one was on an HTC Trinity---I haven't found anything better. I tried an InvisaShield on my current (soon to be sold) Nokia N97 and I boogered two of them trying to get a bubble free install. I finally got the 3rd one on and just didn't like the feel---too much drag and it made the display look opaque. Tore it off and just ordered up a Boxwave---install was perfect and got back what I was missing. Also have one on my Archos 604---have never been let down by the product.

Sorry, I'm new to all the screen protectors and wondering which one(s) besides the SPG don't use any solution/liquid to put them on and works well? I don't want to mess with liquids and wetness on my new phone :) I like just peel back and slap on..

Also, which brands will offer full front screen from top to bottom (around the optical joystick) instead of just the screen itself?

Thanks in advance! :)

I ordered my Zagg today. There are plenty of Coupons for 20% off. I used "digital20". Shipped for 14.95. Hope to have it by the 29th. Well see. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. It's all personal preference I believe.

I use the verizon ones they sell in stores(yes they are overpriced) but they are easily removable and do the job. Ive used them on every touch screen phone ive had and never had an issue. You can always ask someone at the store to put it on for you if its your first time.

I went with Verizon ones (made by USA Wireless Solutions)for my Dare and they have been great for a touch screen, I don't foresee a problem with drag doing multitouch on the Inc. The first one I used went on perfect and lasted over a year. You do have to be slow and patient putting them on to avoid bubbles. Get it right the first time if you can. I always have my phone in my front jean pocket and after 2 years of daily use the screen underneath is like new. I haven't even used the 3rd one.

I ordered the screen protector from Phantom Skinz yesterday and I got an e-mail saying it has partially shipped, LOL. How do you partially ship this?:D
