Yeah, I had an Ultra Crystal on my OG and loved it. I hope they get them done soon. At least they have a placeholder for them on the website. They didn't have the oleophobic ones back then, but I'm anxious to try one this time round!

Did you by any chance add it to your Reward Zone when you bought it? If so, they should be able to look it up that way. If not, I would take it in anyway and go to the customer service counter and show them.

I was in BB yesterday getting ready to purchase the Zagg and decided to do some quick research on the LTEVO before buying. I came across this thread, saw the negative reviews, and said: "NOPE" :)

Yes I put it on my rewards card..I don't have the box also...I installed it myself I'm pretty good at it...it looked amazing for the first couple of days...but then I noticed it has some digs and scratches in it which don't make me happy since its not supposed to scratch...so they will just give me another one?
 
Thanks, Ultra Oleophobic for me. The one that comes with the Otterbox is really starting to annoy me.

Just ordered, hopefully I can get it before the 18th or as close as possible.
 
Has anyone tried the "Seidio Ultimate Screen Guard- Fingerprint Reducing & HD"? I had the Steinheil Crystal Clear on my OG Evo and LOVED IT!!!! But I was on the Seidio website and ordered some of these before realizing that I wanted to put the Steinheil on the LTEvo. If no one has any experience I will just have to wait and hope these are as good as the Steinheil. :o

Looks like Amazon changed their listing for the Oleophobic. Now it says "Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." The SGP store only lists the Ultra Clear and Ultra Fine :(. I was hoping they would make the oleophobic. I guess I'll have to wait until the 18th to see if they add it to their products. I hate going without a screen protector though!:(

Me too! i used Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic for my old galaxy s2, and now I have glas.t on my galaxy note. I used to be a zagg fan, but I started buying stuff from sgp because they were cheaper than zagg ones. I'm very satisfied them and continue to purchase accessories from them for my new devices.
 
I would ask all former Zagg fans to check out their HD line.

All the protection you have come to expect from an invisible shield but with a surface that feels like glass.

They really are incredible.

Yeah, I contacted them, and they're saying they might not have them available for the Evo.

They're shipping me the Ultra Clear.

I've always used zaggs.. And continue to do so.. But I got to tell ya.. I haven't been too impresses lately.. I'm on my 2nd hd shield for LTEvo already.. And I have to get my thrives replaced too.. They seem to scratch and never heal like they used to...

I'm confused. Did you order the Ultra Oleophobic when it was up for pre-sale (amazon.com) for a short time, and now they are shipping Ultra Clear for you instead? :confused:
 
Has anyone tried the Sprint Store protectors that come with 2 clear protectors and 1 anti-glare? Who makes their protectors and what's the verdict on the sprint store protectors?

I would not personally recommend them. They are Sprint re-branded by HTC, unsure who manufactures them. (I got a set free with my Evo 4G which I grudgingly used until better ones were available online - I've read they are the same style for the Evo 4G LTE though) They only cover the viewable area of the screen, leaving the black borders and capacitive buttons vulnerable. They are nice and clear but they get scratched up like nobody's business. The Anti-glare is very matte, poor quality, and moderately textured. It destroys the screen clarity worse than most other anti-fingerprint protectors.

If you are ok with not covering the entire glass, or having to replace the protector because it gets scratched like crazy then they are ok. Average Jim, Bob, and Sue might not care, but I do.
Also they could be a band-aid if you are waiting to get something better later, otherwise they are pretty much a waste of money.

LOL...yeah there's more I need to add. This took several e-mails

They contacted me and said they didn't have the Oleophobic and asked if I wanted a Fine or Clear instead. I asked if they would just send it to me on the 18th, and they said they weren't sure it would be available by then. Then they contacted me and said they weren't going to have them at all for the Evo LTE. So I got them to ship me a Ultra Clear instead

Today they contacted me and said they WILL have the Oleophobic for the LTE, and they'll ship me that in a few days also.

So I guess I get to decide which one is better between the Oleophobic and Clear. :D

Dang! What a steal! I just ordered the oleophobic. Too bad I missed out on the early deal :(. I can't wait until it gets here. I've never gone this long without a screen protector.
