Screen protector ?

I used "clear protector" for the first time on my rezound, and love it. Price was $7 with free shipping off ebay. Thay do have a website you can look up to read about the product, and buy there if you want. $14 dollers on the home site though. The one i ordered off ebay came straight from the company who makes them, so you get the same thing for 1/2 price.

It is very easy to install with a mild soapy water. Squeegee out the water, there will be some inperfections that will clear up with in 24 hrs. Fits very well, and has one cutout for the camera. Looks and feels great, no different from the stock glass.

FYI, they also have a full body film, if you want one to cover your whole phone.

I have babied my Rezound but still have 4 micro scratches. They are almost impossible to see unless there is some light reflecting at just the right angle. But it still bugs me that I've babied this thing and it already has 4 1/4" micro-hairline scratches after only less than 2 weeks. :(

But if a screen protector is going to get scratched/dented/etc then all I'm really buying myself is the ability to take the cover off and put a new one on and keep the glass pristine. But if I'm constantly swapping covers and paying for disposable covers, I'm still viewing the screen through scratches/etc which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place.

I wonder how easy it is to swap the glass on the Rezound? Not the entire touch screen, just the front glass. If it were relatively easy, I'd prefer to just swap the glass every 4-6 months if the scratches get annoying.

But so far, even though I can see these microscratches, it hasn't really affected the device, only my OCD desire to have a pristine screen. :/

I promise you have the wrong idea about screen protectors. The ZAGG is not easy to damage at all, even then it has a self-healing property to it.

I put one of these on today:

http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Screen-Protector-Invisible-Verizon/dp/B0065VZBEI

Three to a pack and can't argue with the price ($6.95 which includes shipping). Which made me a bit dubious that it can be any good.

With three I tried to apply one and threw it away. Tip to all....apply it landscape. So much easier to do that way as it is easier to align the long edge. Second went on without difficulty or bubbles. Looks pretty good and clear. Have no idea about how long it will stay scratch free. I saw comments on Amazon about the notch cut into the left top and the thinking it was a mistake or a generic shield for multiple devices. They are wrong. That's a cutout for the light sensor. Fit is real good. And so it the feel. Anyway, if I have problems I'll rip it out and go Phantom Skins.

I didn't like Zagg's orange peel and feel so I went looking for a static adhesive instead.

I bought Clarivue clear protectors for my first smartphone, HTC Eris, and it was much better than Zagg. It was a lot easier to apply without bubbles. However, I did keep Zagg's body protection since I couldn't find anything else that could do better. I just upgraded to the rezound and ordered the clarivue protectors, will report back if it's a full coverage screen protector. It's only $11.69 for 2 screens. (with 10% off coupon: 10coupon). They include an extra one in case you mess up the first time but it was so easy I never used the 2nd one.

I heard Boxwave is really good as well.. might give it a try later. But it's the same price for just 1.

The Verizon GLOSSY screen protector has been working very well for me since launch day. Surprisingly, it compares favorably with the Steinheil Ultra Crystal I'd been using on my prior Thunderbolt. Not exactly as good, mind you, but heaps better than some others... No problem with oils, easy gliding, etc. Why do VZW store reps always bring out the non-glossy ones first?

I purchased the Halo matte finish protectors. It defintely diminishes the beautiful screen on the Rezound. I had a crystal clear one on my Incredible and I liked it better. Guess I'm going to have to try another kind. On a positive note...the screen went on beautifully and there are no dust bubbles!

Watch out for Boxwave. I ordered through Amazon as an 'in stock' item..... after a week of waiting for it to be shipped I stopped waiting and figured they weren't being truthful. No delay notification from them. Order canceled and one less potential future customer.

I had the Verizon glossy SP on for just a week or so and it go loaded with incidental scratches with just normal use. No drops or carrying keys in pocket with phone.

I've tried Skinomi before and didn't like it. It is very similar to Zagg invisible screen. I generally don't prefer any SP that requires water to install, I don't like the rubbery feel. And no matter how well you installed it, the edges peel up and off easily. And whatever scratches you get on there will stay as a dent or dimple.

That being said, I'm actually using a water installed SP on my rezound.... for now. I got it since is was cheap, $2. I'm really waiting for a hard Crystal Clear or Ultra Clear type. Waiting for a Steinheil one, but if they don't come out with one, I'll go with Clarivue.

Well, I've used the Halo Matte/Anti-fingerprint screen protector for the past 5 days. I'm kinda 48/52 on it. On one hand it really is pretty good about not showing fingerprints. On the other hand the screen really suffers because of fuzziness. I did order the Halo Clear protectors but have not rec'd them as of this post. In the end the screen clarity will probably win out. I like displays that are crisp. Just one of the many reasons I purchased the Rezound to begin with.

On a separate note; the price of the Rezound went from $299.99 to $199.99 just 2 days after I purchased this phone. I called the store and they are refunding the difference. I'm so glad I happened to log on to VZW and see the price drop. Thumbs up to VZW!

just get an otterbox with the screen protector built right on...love those things...very responsive screen protector...only thing that ever got uder the screen protector was lint...and since i can clean the main screen anytime I want that was no big deal

i got the skinomi from Amazon. it's more sturdy then the crap protectors they sell at the VZW store - mine was scratched up within days (I just throw my phone into my purse, so it gets slightly abused), but the skinomi still looks pretty good weeks later. Also, it's a much better fit, and covers the entire screen instead of leaving a fairly large gap on either side of the screen.

The only "orange peel" is on 2 of the corners, and I suspect it's because I didn't use an even distribution of the liquid there. I'm also not sure the self healing really works, since I still have a few dents here and there from the installation. But, ya know, since they have great customer service, I figure, if things get so bad, I'll just ask them for a replacement! I screwed up the first install (nice black spec stuck in the middle of the screen that i didn't notice during installation), and the company ended up sending me a new one w/o question.

I think these are the best screen protectors for the money. I bought mine about a week ago and can't even tell they are on the phone. The feel is almost as good as not having one on, and the look is outstanding. Too easy to install too.. For 7 bucks. Hope it helps

Still happy with it....not a scratch hairline or otherwise. Does it maybe sponge up fingerprints more? That I'm not sure about.

I use the ones from Verizon. I had my og droid for 2 years and used the same protector the whole time. Never had any issues with it. I do take excellent care of my phones though. Just got the rezound today and put one on it and it looks great. I can't really tell its there.

Had the clear Verizon one on for a couple weeks now and the phone goes in a wallet case and is never abuse, it's picked up some scratches already. It's still nearly unviable, doesn't diminish the screen quality at all and sill fills slick. Think it holds onto finger prints worse than the glass but so far I'm satisfied with it and I hate screen protectors.

On a side note, I saw a zagg kiosk in the mall. Those are super lumpy, orange peel looking and the girls demo phone felt rubbery. Wasn't impressed.

I purchased the Halo CLEAR screen protectors and I like them alot. I wouldn't be able to tell it is on except for that 1 microscopic dust speck. At least it's not on the viewable part. I am glad I took off the anti-glare/anti-fingerprint one and put this one on. The screen is beautiful. No more fuzziness. And the surface is much smoother on this protector. It's just like the original screen. If anyone is needing a nice screen protector, I would highly recommend them. They cost around $7.00 for 3 on Amazon. Thanks to everyone who submitted replies. This was my first post and I have been impressed by all the responses.

PS I am loving my new Rezound!

Congrats! I can also report that the Seidio ultimate screen guards are very good. The fit is nice, and installation was pretty straight forward. Just dont screw up! It was damn near impossible to get off when I wanted to adjust it (which is good I suppose). The clarity is superb (best I've ever seen), and although it had a slight drag the first few days, I know find it almost indistinguishable to naked glass. I'm really happy I bought this SP.

I was really nervous when I heard SGP was dropping the ball on us Rez owners, but its great to see that there are so many good alternatives!

Any body try the Ghost Armor screen protector? I saw one at the mall tonight and it looks very good and clear. I didn't notice any orange peel look like I had with my Inc using Invisible shield.

I bought the Halo ones but when opened the package and check they sent me something else that doesn't fit:( I already had contacted them thru Amazon but no a single bleep from them, crappy service 4 sure
