All of a sudden the screen rotation image shows up in my notification panel, and I cant get rid of it. I hate a cluttered notification panel on my screen ??

I tried resetting the notification settings > settings>display>notification panel>reset. It doesnt get rid of the image in the notification panel

On that page you can tap and hold an icon in the upper section and drag it to the lower section, that will remove it from the panel.

Tried that. The screen rotation icon is now below the line in adds ons. It still doesnt go away.

Not everyone shares your preferences. It's part of the system controls & is supposed to be there. Perhaps you could accept that no smartphone is perfect. They all have their pros & cons.

Are you talking about the notification bar, or panel?

The bar being the place where small icons appear along with the clock, battery, etc., and the panel being the single vertical line of scrollable icons that appear for Wi-Fi, GPS, Sound etc that you would tap to turn on/off each feature.

I've seen a rotation icon in the bar on other devices, but I've not seen it on my Verizon Note 3, and it's not in my icon glossary. It may be specific to your carrier/region.

The notification bar at the top, where r to l, I have, time, battery, bars of signal , bluetooth icon, email notification, and screen rotation symbol.

I am asking because it didnt show up from first stsart up as though its hard coded. But rather just popped up while phone was on yesterday.

Its not part of the system, and its not supposed to be there. It wasnt there for 3 days, then suddenly showed up. 2 others I have seen dont have it either.

Top left corner is the icon. Does anyone else have it ?

Now that you've clarified its exact location and sudden appearance, I agree.

That icon looks like the icon for a rotation locker app when in persistent mode.

If that is the case it can be turned off in rotation app settings.

I have seen it before but van not recall which app does this notification.

do remember system notifications are typically from the center to the right, app notification on the left.
