I just saw this morning that my screen turning purple and green, but when I tap the screen it turn back to normal. Does anyone know why this is happening. I just figure its the screen going out. Also my phone is rooted and has been for 2 months.

Thanks to everyone that helps out.

Can you post a little more info? Hardware number, ROM, Kernel, etc. This stuff is very helpful when troubleshooting or identifying known issues.

So you're pretty much stock, just rooted. Hmm, that's an odd problem, I'm not too familiar with that one. Have you dropped your phone at all?

I'd at least try making a backup of everything, then full wipe and start from scratch, maybe just try flashing one of the stock ROMs based off of the most recent OTA? See if that clears anything up for you.

I havent dropped my phone. I just woke up and it was like that. Would I have to unroot it so Sprint can @ least look @ it.

I would take Clint's suggestion first before deciding to unroot and take it to sprint. And since you are running the rooted stock build of 2.3.3, my guess is that a sprint technician may not even know it's rooted. Fortunately, if you have to unroot, getting root back is somewhat an easy process

Also, where is the discoloration? I have noticed on some ROMs that areas like the notification bar or parts of the dialer can go green when they first initialize but then it goes away. I cannot remember if it happened when I was stock but who knows.
