if you feel like reading while you are waiting.....you can find the unbricker here:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-lte...g-dummies-guide-racun-babyracun-unlocked.html

skip down to the lazpy panda in the second post and scrolled down to the very last section for the unbricker, though since you used facepalm, im not so sure it will work.

The unbricker tool I mentioned above is used for the LazyPanda / DirtyRacun S-off method. I'm trying to see if we can use that method to recover from a facepalm Qualcomm download cycle.

Still waiting on their answer.

If the unbricker can help you, the ext-SD card is where the original S-off exploit placed the magic stuffs to take advantage of the exploit. That magic stuffs needs to be there for the unbricker to work (as far as I know).

The internal doesn't matter in this case.

OK, got word back from the irc channel.

It doesn't look good I'm afraid. :(

They said we can try the unbricker for LazyPanda / DirtyRacun, but not to hold our breath. If the phone was successfully S-off'd the unbricker isn't supposed to work anymore. :(

Heffler, try to get the unbricker to run, it's worth a shot. Follow the link Ocn posted above to the Rooting For Dummies guide and locate the unbricker info. get Ubuntu set up, the whole 9 yards and see if it can recover.

If you have any questions for completing that process, just let us know.

I'm going to keep my fingers, toes and eyes crossed. Really rooting for a successful unbrick. :o

unfortunately, not much to add. sure appears for some reason the recovery tried to write the recovery to a partition it shouldnt have, sending the phone to QHSUSB_DLOAD mode.

since youre actually in this mode(when youre s off,it doesnt always happen) jtag is at least an option. it actually is proilly your only option, unless fuses releases an unbrick tool for jewel, like he has for sensation and several other devices.

there are a couple prollems with the riff box.
1)they are expensive
2)not all devices are supported via usb. i.e.,you dont simply plug it in and run the unbricker tool. looks like with jewel you will need to learn how to disasemble the phone and solder the riff box cable to the jtag pads inside the phone

im going to update my riff box and see if what updates there are and if via usb is an option.

another option would be to contact josh at MobileTechVideo and see what he would charge for jtag revival. im sure it will be much cheaper than buying the riff box($150 when i bought mine- not sure what they are now). just make sure to give him all the details you can so he has a good idea if revival is possible.

Maybe check the old instructions for how to downgrade your bootloader. When I downgraded mine you had to put it in Qualcomm mode to write a new bootloader to the phone. Perhaps you can just wipe your bootloader and downgrade it. Once you have a bootloader you can install recover then a ROM. Then you'd have your phone back. I link the guide I mentioned when I get to my computer.
