Root [SCRIPT] rtsp & httpd proxy settings (faster 3g)

do i need to rename the proxy.txt file to something else or leave it as it is and where do i check to see if the settings changed??:confused:

you dont need to rename it. to check if ur settings changed open terminal emulator and type getprop and look for the settings.

I've come to the conclusion that these settings are already predefined into CM7. I added the changes and it didn't really do anything. In fact it acted as if these settings were already enabled. I performed several tests just to make sure and they were pretty much the same.

So in general I think this is really an improvement for non-CM7 users. I'm hoping though someone can prove me wrong :( That way my 3G can go faster.

its better if you try it like around 12 am because there is les people using the internet. first try a couple with out and then with the script and see if theres a difference. also make sure your phones signal is not fluctuating. if you ran a test with 3 bars make sure u have 3 bars when you test again
