Help SD Card Clean up

I want to clean up my SD card due to the fact that it has become rather full with all the flashing/nandroiding/rooting/etc. I was wondering if I could just wipe the SD card from the phone and everything will be ok or are there certain files that if I cannot delete. Obviously I would back up my SD card onto my computer before proceeding. Just wanted to get some feedback from someone who might have already done this.

You're safe to wipe the card. Backing up the SD card beforehand is a great idea. Some custom roms require you format the card because it partitions it. I've done it already and then copied the backup from my PC's hard drive back onto the SD card. Phone won't care if the card is empty.
