Help SD Card: Does Size Matter?

So right now im using the stock sd card on my ally with velocity 1.0. i normally put about as much music as i can on the 4 gb card with next to no slow down. i shuffle it on and off every couple days. i thought that when i had tried before to put a bout 2 gb of pictures instead of music the phone kinda slowed down a bit. i thought that maybe has to do with the way the gallery loads the files, or if i bought a 8gb or 16gb card if it would be smoother on the phone speed. in the end i want to store more like 6gb or 7gb of pictures and less music.

tl dr;

i want to have a Fast sd card with full capacity of 6gb photos with no phone slow down, what size card should i buy? 8gb or 16gb

Haha, I could almost imagine everyones reaction if you didn't put "SD Card:" in the title :D

I heard that the higher amount the SD card, the faster it is.

Not size, class. The sd card that came with your phone is a class 4 i believe. I would say get a class 6 sd card maybe 16gb maybe only 8 if thats all you need

I would go with a 16MB faster class (6) card for Froyo as you can run many apps from the card as well as store pictures, video, and music.
