SD Card help

Ok so today I was messing around with lock bot and somehow I seen root files for the phone,boot loader, and firmware files etc. Out of curiosity I opened Astro file explorer and it brings me to SD card but I hit the up button and found a lot of interesting files. I found the boot pics and browsed firmware files. Can someone confirm this with their Astro before I do something stupid. Maybe Caddyman or OTD have some thoughts on this but I would like help from everyone. I have 2.1 v3 leak. Thnx
 
Im wanting info on what in looking at. Are these root files? I found an apps folder and I can delete stock apps, but havn't yet. I'm wanting someone with more knowledge to look at these files and tell me what they are is my question.

Yeah, you can see different files like that, but without root you can't do anything with them...if that's what your asking/saying.

Try to delete a stock application, let me know if it works =D
 
they are the root files for the phone. if you are rooted you can use root explorer or something similiar to remount the files as read/write rather than read only and delete them. meaning you can delete stock apps that you dont want, delete ringtones and wallpapers that come on th phone that you dont want etc.
 
Ahh ok it won't let me do nothing with these files so thnx for the help. Sure wish I could get rid of some of those stock apps. :(

You can, just root the phone. Or better yet, wipe yours and I'll wipe mine, we can trade. Mine is on leak 2.1 v3 :D
 
I'm wanting to root my phone but I don't know why. Hoping the devs come up with a roll back or a way to root the leaks. Maybe ill brick my phone LOL........Not!!!!......well its a thog
