Root SD card partitioning using amon RA partition option?

Hi
After a bit of advice please.
I have been reading lots recently regarding partitions on SD cards.
I used amon RA recovery to partition my SD card. How does this compare with using gparted and does this create an ext 3 or something similar

we always recommend gparted. Its fine making a partition, if it works. But if it doesnt you need gparted to fix it anyway. No idea what ext it makes

i makes ext2 and you can use it to convert it to 3
however it uses sdparted and doesnt align the partitions
