good price and make however i would go for a class 6 or 10 (desire cannot run faster than class 6 but im pretty sure you will take the card for newer devices when you move on)

Yes, I would agree. Class 10 is the way to go. Have one in a Desire now for 14 months without any issues - it's an ADATA, but pretty much any quality brnad should be fine. Play.com is genereally very trustworthy, sio whatever you buy from them is kosher.
 
Brand matters also. I bought a Kingston 8GB Class 4 and it is distinctly slower than the Sandisk equivalent. I was using it with AIO ASDX version and it was painfully slow. When I switched the Sandisk, it was much faster.
 
ive found that sandisks asctually operate at a higher datarate than they specify.
kingstons i find are exactly rated to whats listed on the card.
i wouldnt use a class4 card for data2sd or data2ext. I would only use it for a2sd

seems lexar are also faster than their printed ratings
