I'm just using lookout. I would use McAfee Wave secure if I could afford it. I have a free license but tracking doesnt work...
 
Does smartapp prevent uninstallation of apps?

Webroot. Works very in my opinion. Here are some of the features:

1. scans each app installation
2. blocks/ sms calls from specified list
3. blocks access to dangerous websites
4. activate scream/ locate command from any phone
 
What's the point having a tracking /wiping app that can be uninstalled before you can track or wipe it?
 
Wow! That's interesting. So does Lookout have this feature? Presumably someone could just remove the batt and start in recovery and wipe the phone still?
 
i use theft aware, has all the features mentioned, can even install as a system app so it survives factory resets :) even better than just uninstallable
