Help Seeing the Screen Outside

Hi, folks. I love my DX, but I hate the fact that I can barely see the screen when I'm outside during the day. Why did the people at Motorola think that using white text on dark backgrounds was a good idea? Is there any way around this, besides installing individual apps that have better color schemes?

I have the same trouble when my screen isn't set at the brightest setting. Check your settings.

Yes, my screen isn't at the brightest setting. I have it set low so that I conserve battery. With your screen brightness up, how long does your battery last?
