Accessories Seidio 1600mAh extended life battery

the phone lasted.
The pebble its self died.
though i do think i didnt leave it long enough charging. ( the pebble )

charged it again an its fine but i have noticed if i try to charge the phone via the pebble in my pocket, chances are the USB plug will come lose.

we should start a new forum section about cables, ac chargers, car chargers and portable chargers, for the entire forum, not only the desire

Mine too. It's charged up and I am charging my flat phone right now.

It came with a nice carry pouch with a front pocket for all the connectors.

Got round to ordering mine today, wish I'd have had it with me, both of the kids DSes conked out on the bus today!

Shoulda put my referral code on that link too, dammit! :D

Just ordered

2x pebbles charger for $35 each,
1x IMP50D for $36
1x IMP880 for $69
1x seidio battery for g7
2x genuine htc car charger
2x 1A wall charger
3x micro usb cable
1x htc desire dock

So my phone never runs out of power!

I am a portable charger nut and I own more than 10 units, ranging from $5 using AA cells to $130 18,000 mah capacities. But I'm yet to own the perfect charger.

When my veho/newtrent chargers arrive I will do a big review and post it here.

Im trying to find the perfect charger, the ones I dont use I give them to friends and coworkers. I live in a country where gadgets like this are not sold and people dont know these even exist.

Just bought one of these, will wait to see if it's a rip of or the real deal.

EXTENDED HIGH POWER BATTERY FOR HTC DESIRE, BRAVO A8181 on eBay (end time 08-Aug-10 15:03:02 BST)

Would be interested how much the back cover changes the profile / feel of the device.

Any chance you could post pics when received please?

Hey, saw this on eBay.co.uk, Item 140425931341.

It claims to offer 2500mAh, with a thicker battery and even supplies a new back cover to accommodate this battery on the back of the HTC Desire.

Any suggestion if this is good or "too good to be true" (bogus)?

Advise, please?

These chargers look great, think I'll have to purchase one.

One quick, and possibly weird, question: When charging the chargers so they're ready for use out and about, how much electricity do they use? Also, how much electricity does a full charge of the Desire use when plugged in at the wall? I was wondering the other day how much it costs to charge my Desire compared to my old Sony Ericsson C902, as presumably it's much more intensive.

I'm a proper little energy nazi so I'm always thinking of ways to cut down what I use at home. I'm not a full-on eco warrior (though I do my bit) - I'd just rather save money here and there so I can buy more booze!

Was skimming through this thread, thought it really interesting... went looking on Amazon and found this: Powerbee Portable Power Bank for nearly all UK mobile phones, Ipods, PSP's, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, Tom Tom, mp3 players, and nearly all handhelds in the UK: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors

Looks quite good for the price, I thought?

Anyone who actually bought the Powerbee? I was willing to order the Pebbles, but if the Powerbee is just as good as the Pebbles, I will go for the Powerbee. So, any reviews/experiences?

So I ordered one late wednesday, about 9pm.
Order was despatched Thursday, and delivered Friday.
In total, with post and packing, it was about 22 pounds.

The item was in a carry pouch with all the adapters and charging adapter. You dont get a mains charger, it
appears to charge via usb. I haven't read the destruction manual, so I don't know if you can use a mains or in car adapter to charge it.

It shows, when turned on, to be fully charged. At least, all of the lights are on when it powers up.

I haven't tried to fully charge the phone yet, but when it was briefly plugged in it showed as charging usb.

I will try charging using it for a couple of days and see what happens in terms of number of charges. I'll then do it again once I've charged it myself to see if there is any difference.

The only criticism I have is the size of the pouch - It's quite big. But it does hold all of the adapters, so I'll forgive it that.
Amy questions, let me know. I'll try and add pictures in the near future...
