Accessories Seidio 1750 Follow Up

LOL,,, yes it is but I guess for people that really need that kind of battery life, it's better then nothing, For me, The 1750 should be good

My big problem with extended batteries is no case. I think from all the drop photos that a case is needed and with an extended battery that won't be happening. Even Seido doesn't sell a form fitting case for their extended batteries.

In that battery thread, the Seidios were averaging about 80 percent of what they claimed. Which would make this one about 1400mAh.

Because of that I would love to see a test of this battery compared to using the HTC OEM 1500mAh

well heck, that extra 100mah gave me about a half day more!:) anybody do a test to see if the stock 1300mah averaged 100% of that claim? perhaps that's less? all i know is the 1750 gives me significantly better battery life, despite what other 'tests' revealed. i'm a happy customer.

Hey...I wasn't comparing to stock (I still have stock and it sucks a**)....

Just saying I would love to see the 1750 compared to the HTC 1500. Not the stock one.

I have a generic 1500 (I know its not the same as having the HTC one) and it just gives a little bump over the 1300. I see a noticeable difference with the 1750.

If it ran like a 1400 than you wouldn't notice much of a difference. 80%? I doubt it. I think you are getting that from the research of one website that isn't legit.

1500 is $50 anyways.. it would be a better comparison, but to spew that it's running at 1400 with no evidence is weak sauce.

Uh...I got it from the XDA Developer Forum: [PRJ] [April 25] Investigating battery capacity claims (read: lies). - xda-developers

And why so testy? Just sayin I would love to see a comparison...not saying you aren't getting what you think you are. Just sayin I would love a comparison.

oh ok i gotchya, and that wasn't meant to sound snippy or anything at all, those were actually questions i do have lol. i really do wonder what the 1300 would actually rate in a test. the 1750 and 1500 would be a real interesting comparison. my point was that if it really is only 100mah better, it actually is very impressive that it gives that much more life.

After a week using my 1750, I would say it's about a 25% increase. I wasn't really having problems with my stock, I could get about 10 hours of moderate use and be at 10%. With the 1750 I could get about 12-13 hours before hitting 10%. So it is better, but I wouldn't say it's significantly better like how some people say they get 7-8 hours with stock and over 20 hours with the 1750. That's just not logical. It's 1300 mah vs. 1750 mah, not 1300 mah vs. 3200 mah.

i for one got about 7 hours MAX on the 1300. I can easily get another 5 hrs on top with the 1750. Don't know what to tell ya, but that's what I see with my phone now. Logical or not, can't argue with what i've seen with it. I mean you can... but i'm literally not exaggerating lol

Also, improvements are going to vary per person depending on what they got with their stock battery and consequently people will notice much bigger improvements than others so it's only logical that results are going to differ per person. Some people, like you, may not notice a gigantic difference because you did get 10 hours with the stock- I didn't get close to that so to me, the improvement is drastic.

Strange... I'm at 14 hours unplugged and at 60%. Moderate/heavy use with GPS on too. Using the Seidio 1750 of course.

Question:
Nobody's answered this so far when I asked so I'll as again.

I'm in an extended network area. Would this, at least theoretically, give me more, or less battery life than if I were within verizons 3g area? Thanks!

oh and my receptions usually in the -50s if that helps.

Then some of the stock batteries must be defective or something. 7 hours MAX is NOT normal. You should be able to go at least 10 hours with light use. I got about 23 hours with the stock battery with the correct settings and light use. I'm sure I can make the 1750 battery last over 30 hours if I turn off some things and use it lightly. (Of course I would still have the phone functional with mobile always on to get my google voice sms and sync on to get my emails, but turn things off like gps and turn down the auto sync frequency). If I turned off all that stuff off (making it like a dumb phone, I could last over 48 hours with the stock battery).

But yeah, if you say 7 hours MAX, then something is wrong.

Like I said, you got it from one site, one test. Not reliable to me.

I'm not testy just testing lol ;)

Man I think you guys have convinced me, .... that and the delay of the extended battery (Which i have a feeling will have a larger back anyway, which i dont want because i have a case). Do you guys know if seidio is havn't any promos ?

I signed up for their mailing list and they keep sending me 10% off coupons. That being said I had an Eris and purchased a 1750 off amazon before they had one for the incredible because I knew they were the same. Free shipping and $41 :)

My hours are about 7-9 hours MAX. How do I prove to them in VRZ store?
