Accessories Seidio 1750 Follow Up

Posted this in one of the other threads:

Got a Seidio 1750 for my Eris a few months ago and it seemed a *bit* better than the oem 1750 (though not what I would have expected with an additional 450). I used it for a coupe if months and was getting about the same uptime as oem...I thought. After seeing the article on non-oem batteries I decided to throw the old oem, which had been on the shelf collecting dust, back in. Low and behold my dead time went from 6-10 hrs to 10-14 on the first day. Had a seidio in a bb some time before that with similar results (actually on the bb they had identical performance despite the supposed increased capacity).


For my money I'll stick with oem and grab one of the 1500s for my DInc.


YMMV, just my experience with 2 batteries from Seidio...maybe I got 2 bad batteries a coupe years apart? O.o
 
My friend just ordered an EVO which comes with a 1500. Going to see how the fit is in the Incredible and then if all is good probably pick one of those up (with his discount of course)

With people stating that the Touch Pro II battery isn't a perfect fit...waiting to see how this one does.

If you look on sprints web site. under the evo accessories, the 1500 battery is listed. It says also fits the TP2. So, to me, it looks like the same battery.
 
This Is bull. I just got mine and It lasts just as long as my stock battery. What the Hell? why am I always the odd man out on this crap
 
I've been using it since Friday and have anecdotally noticed good gains. I haven't done anything regimented, I'm just more concerned with how the battery performs when I use the phone like I would usually use it.

With the stock battery I was getting down to 20% by around 7-8pm every evening. I charge all night while I sleep and I've often still had to charge once or twice using the USB during the day/early evening to make it to bedtime.

With the Seidio I've made it to the usual time I go to bed (1030-1100) and have been around 40-60%.

So I've gone from having to supplement charge just to get through the day to not having to worry about charging at all to get through a regular day. Next big test will be when I finally get to play a round of golf with the phone and use Golfcard for my GPS/scorecard. As long as it'll get me through that I'm good to go.
 
Last night i charge my phone (1750 battery) using the unplug... plug-in again until green LED appeared while the Phone was Off. I turned my phone on... and the unplug it from the charger before going to sleep. Without any messages over night my Battery (1750) was at 97% in the morning... idled Approx. 7-8 hours.

I had the same thing in a way i did that 2 nights ago yesterday took it off the charger at around 1030 and has not been back on and its at 69%. I know i have not received many called only 2 and did 8 games of homerun battle and thats it battery seems heck of alot better then the stock imo
 
I've been using my phone today like rented U-haul truck, its been about 11 hours... i'm at 53 percent

bluetooth file transfers, WiFi, video camera, internet surfing, texting, photos, market downloads, installing and uninstalling Apps, and of course phone calls.
 
This battery is doing damn good. It's at 30% after almost 13 hours since unplugged. I used it very heavily today, and showed it off at work. Had WiFi on for a 2-3 hours, 3G on for the remainder of the time, push exchange/2 gmail, AIM/gTalk, GPS off, used bluetooth to transfer a few files (~15mins), used the camera to show off barcode scanner and laylar, used it for 1 hour of music, and used the browser heavily. Also 43 texts and 28 mins of phone calls.

Worth the money I spent on it. Overall happy with the battery life now.

I've got similar usage, 13+ hours since unplugged, 3ish hours use, some of that was a bike ride in the morning with cardiotrainer tracking me on gps. At just under 30% now.

This is my second charge with the battery so expectijg some improvemnt over the next couple of days.
 
I still may pick this battery up. I'm going to be traveling next month and want longer battery life. I was really hoping Verizon and HTC would have had there act together by now.

So for those of you who have this battery, gun to your head, would you buy it again?

Absolutely.
 
I'd definitely buy it again. I got a great deal on it for $33 bucks shipped. It's nice to know that I can make it through my daily routine and not have to worry about charging the battery.

Yes, Amazon. Yesterday I had 16 hours up time and 9 hours awake with heavy usage and at the end of the day that's all I care about is making through the day and I can now. I have not once had to plug in prematurely since getting the 1750. With the stock I was dead by 4pm if I didn't charge during lunch. Now I dont have to worry about it.
 
So far. I have noticed that I can get through the whole day too where as before, I would have to put it on charge late at night instead of having it out by my side. The battery doesnt give you twice the life or anything. But it gives me those couple of extra hours that get me through a whole day.

Also, when the battery is low and I get those warnings at 14% and 9%, it takes longer to drain. I notice a longer time span between the 14% and 9% warning.

I have only been doing medium usage. (2 10 minute calls a day, texting all day long, internet browsing for about 30-60 minutes). And I notice a battery improvement.

This weekend, when I have time, I want to do some heavy usage and compare it to the heavy usage battery life I would get from the stocker. Which was baaad. I would play a game for 2 hours from a full charge and my battery would be at about 25% This processor eats battery power alive! Lol

Yup, very noticable difference.
 
I'd buy it again!

I got a TP2 1500 battery (which fits perfectly), and I'm only through 1 charge. Initial impressions are that it doesn't last as long as the Seidio 1750. However, I'll give it through the weekend, and then swap back to the Seidio.
