Selling phone - how does it work?

Dumb question but.. I'm getting the GNex and I want to sell my DX. Since they don't have SIM cards, how does ownership actually change? I'll SBF and format the card, but I've done that before and all you do is turn it on and activate.

I'm just curious how the phone is linked to my account/number.

I'm guessing once I activate the GNex, they the Droid won't work easily activate anymore?

once you activate the G Nex it will be tied to your account obviously

The droidX will not be tied to anyone's account. Like you said make sure you do all necessary factory wipes in what ever fashion you choose and format the SD card to get all of your data off of it.

Then the buyer goes on their account online and switches devices by entering the IMEI number ( i think it's that one ) and it then ties that phone to their account.

it's super easy

Don't update to OTA version .621 tho. It might be worth more that way. :D

Many people suggesting buying/selling via Craig's list and meeting in the Verizon store where payment occurs after it's verified to have a good ESN (not reported missing). Then the new user can get it switched over.
