Send to sd card

Now I have a large memory card I would like to utilize it correctly. What should I send there to keep my phone running fast? And what is the best app for That?

I am very leery of keeping apps or photos/videos that I have taken with the phone on the added SD card. On my last phone I had an external SD card (32 GB Sandisk) that gave up the ghost for no reason at all. It just corrupted and I lost everything on it. Fortunately it was just photos, videos and music that I already had on my computer.

So that is what I am using this card for as well, just in case. My personal music goes on the external card, as well as streamed music for listening offline, photos and videos from my computer. But for apps, and photos taken on the phone itself, they stay on the internal unless of course I've moved the photos to the computer anyway.

I suppose once I start backing up apps and other backup operations (especially if and when I root) those would go there as well.

It's funny because I actually am the complete opposite. I prefer photos/videos/music being on the SD card. Granted, I back up the photos I take, as well as videos, quite often. I also haven't had any issues with my sd cards (knock on wood), since my Windows Mobile days.

My general rule of thumb, especially with the 25gb usable internal storage, is that I keep majority of the "system" related items on the internal storage. I could never do this in the past because the internal storage wasn't enough, to alleviate space on my microSD.

My custom notifications, ringtones, etc. are now all located on the internal storage (while I used to keep them on the external SD). I will also likely move pictures I use for wallpapers over to the internal storage. Since Apps-to-SD went away with ICS and is now making a return, I am concentrating on moving just the large apps (that can actually be moved) over to the SD. For instance, Flixster is an app that I use quite often for my movie/tv show digital copy downloads. Any games that could be moved over, I transferred as well.

Any media (e.g. Videos/Movies/Music/etc.) I typically keep on the microSD and constantly back it up, just to be safe (I do it at least 1 time per week).
