Root Sending broken Evo to Assurion...

Daughter got replacement Evo, screen shattered, sharp. Do you think its really necessary for her to unroot it? When I plug into her Mac, the Evo does not have the option to use as disk drive. She has already activated the new Evo so the broken Evo has no internet connection. Is there a way I can just delete a certain file and "brick" it? The replacement was put on my credit card and I really don't want to pay full price for the broken Evo. Ill take all suggestions... Ive downloaded the files to her Mac to unroot but her Evo is not showing use as disk drive as a option....maybe something in the fall broke something...not sure. Thanks again....

You can use either a card reader or her new phone to put the files on the SD card. Just put the old card in her new phone and hook it up to the computer.

I would definately suggest doing that before trying to brick anything.

But if you really wanted to you could pull the battery in a radio update or something. In order to do that you would have to be able to put files on the card so I would suggest just unrooting it using the first method. :)

yep like rxpert says just use the new evo to transfer the file over to the card. once the files are on it then you can switch it and unroot your phone.
