Root Sending/Receiving Duplicate Texts in GB

Evolver

Newbie
So for some reason on GB my phone would randomly start receiving 3 text messages simultaneously from people after I was texting for a while (the problem isn't duplicate notifications btw, they are actual duplicate texts). And on reboots it would randomly send out the last message I sent to people again. At that time I was using Handcent SMS in addition to the Blur text messaging. Now I'm on ApeX 2.0 and I haven't seen the duplicate incoming text message issue occur yet, but have already seen the sending last text on reboot issue. I'm using GO SMS now in addition to AOSP Messaging. Would anyone happen to know of a solution to this?

well the common denominator in BOTH situations is that you're using a 3rd party SMS app...

- first course of action would be to remove the third party app and see if it continues with the stock app...

- secondly, if that fixes the problem i would try installing the 3rd party app and using titanium to freeze the stock app (if that is possible without messing up the email app or anything) and see if that works...

It seems to work normally for now if I just don't open the stock Messaging app... lol I don't use it anyways so I guess this will work as a solution. Thanks though!
