Sense UI vs MotoBlur

Personally I think that the advantage of sense is not the home part, but things like the dialer mods, contacts app, mail app (2.2 may fix that), and the general better integration with things like Facebook. This is why I use LP+ but will still never buy a phone or flash a rom without sense.

Stop by a store and try them... you will quickly see that sense is better. Blur is a bit clunky even on the latest phones.
 
I own a DX. I used to own the dinc, so I believe it makes my opinion experienced.

Plainly put Sense UI is faaaar superior to faux motoblur that is on the DX. (In fact, Motorola said they are not continuing with it going forward).

I LOVE Sense. I love the widgets, the smoothness and the usuability.

Having said that, I've been able to customize my DX to where I believe it is superior to Sense. I use LPP, WidgetLocker and Beautiful Widgets (using a special clock skin that looks more like Sense than the ones offered in their library of skins. mwah hahaha!)

Finally, I like what LPP does as well as the fact that it goes horizontal and all. So? For me?

LPP > Sense > Blur.

Or most banks offer "online cards" You can just put the amount on It and thats all so people can't steel your money. Might want to check that out.
 
How portable is Sense UI. I see ports of roms etc, can the apk files be installed on a Moto or does HTC do some checking of some sort?

I even had my DInc in my hands the night before the 'official' release because I ordered it online.

Even better that I didn't have to file the rebate.
 
Motoblur should be renamed, motocrap.

Sense is sooo much better.

But what's even better than that? Vanilla!

All I need with my froyo 2.5 sky raider is a good calendar just like the sense one and I'll be happy.

But its like I said your home screen might change but the main menu, dialer, etc are still using the moto ones which imo are too plain or ugly! HTC did a great job in all of those aspects! I have the beautiful widgets and LP Plus (which is sort of becoming like the sense home screen), I love sense but I'm enjoying LP more. The green HTC outlines, nicer colorful menus, dialer pad, peoples profile, etc are also what make the HTC phones nicer. Of course this is just personal taste, either way its still and Android phone and that's what matters the most!

Well..... I don't use the stock dialer. I use a wonderful one from the market (free) called dialer one. It'll use your wallpaper as its background. It will work in horizontal mode. It was give you UNLIMITED speed dials (better than sense) and it will do smart dialing (dialing the letters of a person's name to find the contact in the phone).

Regarding the main menu? I never see that. All I see is the LPP menu and my app drawer is 3d :D.

i tried out Dialer one and found that i couldnt look people up by their phone number only the contact name. the stock app does both.
i did like that it turned horizontal but i have never even wanted that before.
i thought it was interesting how it would find email addresses from my contacts that did not associate to phone numbers. im not sure why i would want those showing up in my dialer app.
it does look really nice though. would prolly change to it if my complaints were taken care of.

I tried dialer one and I didnt find it much better than the stock HTC dialer so i don't mind either one really but my point is that its better than the moto dialer. I don't need the speed dialers since I have the LPP people widget so its pretty pointless for me. But each person has a choice which is what I love about androids! But if I only had one choice then, HTC sense wouldve been the way to go and I'm sure most would agree with me.
