Root Sense6 or moving to aosp

Anybody here really like the sense6 ui or jumping on the AOSP bandwagon? Me personally already made the switch to aosp well until a Google play edition ROM becomes less laggy (rlly ocd about lag) so I can make use of this camera!

Yea sense6 is awsome. I really like what they did to it this year. Much cleaner over touch wiz this time around or well always.

I will eventually move to AOSP but i dont wanna lose the software for the camera. When i went AOSP on my S3 my pictures never quite looked the same after that and never had a proper working HDR for it so not quite ready to give it all up.

Im also quite enjoying Sense so far, easier to swallow than TW.

Moved this over to the root forum, any issues let me know. :)

I haven't tried AOSP for the M8 yet. We have 2 roms out for Sprint, speaking of which....I need to get those posted up. :p

Getting ready to try insert coins looks awesome and has the harmen karmen audio biult in. Skyfall has been my favorite stock rom so far just so simple fast and stable.

very :-D 2 i think!

Yikes! 6 is an improvement over those early versions.

I just felt sense 4 was visually more appealing. Things were bright and detailed but 5 and 6 are moving away from that... They are in my humble opinion becoming more dull and blocky. My tegra 3 one x with sense 4 was the first HTC phone I didn't have the desire to run cm on ;)

I'm now rocking the Google play ports. They give you that aosp feel but still use htcs framework so you still take advantage of the camera and Zoe and ir blaster. Also this is first time I've really used exposed and gravity box is an awesome module

Are gpe roms using HTC framework? If so,this is different from m7,wich was basically AOSP with an HTC kernel. /system is half the size of a sense rom so I was pretty sure it was AOSP framework, tho admittedly Ive not opened the roms to look

I believe they Scotty, since the HTC camera, Zoe, etc work. Haven't tried any GPE ports for Sprint yet. :o

ill have to look more into this. i was under the impression that it was pretty much unmolested AOSP. if thats not the case,i may have to jump on the GPE bandwagon if i can have an AOSPish device with a few stock features i dont want to give up! :D

If you have a hot minute, take a look in the Sprint M8 development forum. They have a GPE port that's in Beta, and I could have sworn it uses the HTC framework. Everything else is straight up AOSP.

I'm reluctant to post that rom up since it is in Beta. Once they get more of the kinks out and it's ready for mass consumption, I'll get a thread started. :)
