I have had luck with the min being 128000 with screen off.
479 Min - 528 Max with screen on. I have never seen the phone operate less than the 479 setting with the screen on. Some games and apps can still run just fine at that rate without bumping to the 528.
 
First set the profile to OnDemand. Then do 245 min and 528 Max. Then hit refresh to make sure it stayed. Keep in mind that you will have to do this each time you reboot, unless you check keep at boot or whatever it says. Someone people report the keep at boot working, others not so much.
 
I've been using 480/160 and it's been working very well for me. Quick, battery life seems pretty good and easy to use. I didn't notice much drop in performance with 480 instead of 528.

I haven't experimented too much with 528/160, but may have to give it a shot to see how much difference there is in battery life.
