What kernel do you have? Some of the stupidfast kernerls were known to have this issue. Although equally true many peeps claimed to cure the problem with setting the min at 200MhzSo I was listening to music with my phone plugged into my USB port and all of sudden I heard a pop on my PC. Like a fuse blew and now my PC wont turn on. Is it possible SetCPU could be the culperate? Today was the first time I was using it. Its set to automatic and 200/1000 max.

Yeah stupidfast 154 and poweramp often have this crackling issue. I thought the 200Mhz min was a cure all but perhaps not. The 12/12 should fix it if the 200Mhz min does notYep. I'm running the Stupidfast 1.54. I was also using PowerAmp. I'm thinking if I should revert back to 12/12 nonvoodoo.
Good thing its my work PC so I wont have to pay for the repairs. I'm afraid to go near my Macbook now with my phone.

Went back to 12/12 and the crackling is gone. Still can't believe that my phone can crap out my PC.
Yeah the crackling does seem isolated with PowerAmp and not the stock player.Looks like the crackling is still there. Its obviously PowerAmp, which I know is a resource hog. Just wish the stock player can read my music folders as a playlist.
