[SGS3-R530M] Metropolis Rom [4.3 Touchwiz]

Any suggestions i had made a backup of my cm10.1 then wipe all except system and try to restore metropolis and it fails to restore went back to do an install without wiping and still nothing any suggestions

i think there is a issue when ur on a aosp rom and switch to a stock rom things tend to not go so well i would say flash a fresh metropolis rom and then try to restore ur old metropolis

That's what I was afraid of doing going through the whole installation again oh well I guess I have to thanks

Its a 100% stock twrp recovery without the data partition. Keep it on ur phone. Its a reliable way to restore to 100% stock. If youve made a recovery of your stock system, you can use that instead.

To help preven issues when going from one of the 4.2 roms to Metropolis 105, you can try to use the restore above to make that transition seamless.

1 Follow the directions for recovering to stock!!! You factory reset in TWRP right? :)

2 Please let the phone reboot. Give it time. IF you get stuck, pull the battery and let it start up again. Once the phone boots to stock, no need to set it up, reboot to recovery.

3 Now that were in familiar territory, I leave it to you. You SHOULD be able to flash directly to v105 at this point or you can follow the directions a few posts up to flash v103 then 105.

4 Dont forget to thank nuttmeg for that much needed recovery.
 
I lost my 4G it doesn't which nore does it say 4G I tried to force it to change back by using the phone info app but it won't change. What's wrong?
 
I alway force 3g on stock rom because it was faster and forget to force it back to 4G when I change roms but it always came back but when I flashed metropolis I couldn't force 4G back on and the network seems not to be affected by the phone info app anymore like when it use to force my 4G to 3g. Now it seems to do nothing hope I don't have to re flash or go backuto stock.

When that happens to me I back up my rom restore nv items and restore the backup I just made and everything back to normal.. That's why it's very important to make an nv backup before we go flash happy
 
Got a question about the gallery on 1.0.5. I have 2 albums that are picasa albums. I know this because the titles on both of them have the lil round emblem. My question is, "How do I delete them?" I went into file explorer & system & apps & can't find anything related to the gallery albums.

go into sync settings for your google account uncheck sync picassa albums then go into settings> app amanager> all and find the gallery app and clear the data for it. IT WILL NOT ERASE YOUR PICTURES. So don't worry.

I did back up my nv I do it before every flash but I can force 3g or 4g works on every rom I've tried but metropolis so I what I did before to prepare is which back to 4g before I flash and was glad it was working when I got to metropolis 1.05 but got curious and tried to switching back thru the phone info app(which I always use to force) and i switched back to 3g but when I was checking to see if it would switch back to 4g it wouldnt and I was trying different networks in the app and usually when I force a network I dont have the fone loses service but this Time it didn't affect the service at all it just stay 3g and wouldnt change even tho I was forcing different newtorks
 
quick question.. dsoes anybody else have a problem running google maps?
Mine dont work as i dont have the blue navigation icon. Even if i go inside maps and try navigate from there it keeps searching for GPS and never finds it. Tried to install Waze but force closing!! :(
Any Suggestions?

Go into app mgr & clear your maps data. Turn gps off then on again. If that doesn't work, you may have a lot of garbage cache built up that needs to be dumped. Go into recovery & wipe cache & dalvik. That will generally fix those kinda problems.
 
i wonder if the official jb release would improve this rom and i wonder what shabby s got up his sleeve for next release
 
My phone keeps vibrating it vibrates once then a few seconds later 3 times again.
And I also keep getting "com.process.google.gapps has stopped" what do I do plzzzzzzz.?????

Easy do this flash 1.3 flash 1.5 without wiping flash it in top of the rom you have after flashing both then wipe cache dalvik cache and factory reset mines did the same if you flash otherwise
