[SGS3-R530M] Metropolis Rom [4.3 Touchwiz]

In recovery don't wipe anything flash 1.0.3 first don't boot right after that flash 1.0.5 then wipe cache dalvik cache and factory reset and that's it
 
i got a software update notification from samsung when i first booted into the homescreen.

i declined it and it said something like if i say no i wont be able to update wirelessly.

anyone else get this?

Might of been that small update the way I see if they check if u running old baseband radio and if so they send u an update for new one. Which u can do manually just look for shabby thread of modems
 
hmm, so this is more or less stock JB. there are some other things you can add to it but they require more flashing and im reading .6 is in the works which shows shabby will continue working on this ROM.

im gonna swing back to BB7 and wait for the new stuff to come after we get the official JB update.
 
ok so ive been digging up touchwiz roms and taking their system apps and testing them on metropolis heres a cool themed secmms.apk from jellybean goodness that can be used on metropolis without any issues. and no this wont fix long sms prob just replaces stock look mms.apk

just go to system/app and rename original secmms.apk to secmms.bak if you want to keep a back up for any reason at all if not just delete it lol.

then place the one i provided in there then place finger on it till u get a option box and select permissions. then make sure permissions looks like this...

then last just reboot and if the messaging application is missing from the dock just go intto app drawer and drag it out and place it on the dock. enjoy :D

nice shit bro nice;) im done waiting for metro official jellybean ima just use this rom till its out i wonder if shabbys still gonna update this rom ? or if the official jellybean update will help shabby make this rom smoother or add features:confused:
 
Is anyone else having problems with the exsd card? It randomly says that the sd card was removed it started yesterday and I got annoyed by it so I wanted to go back to stock rom but when I tried to restore it failed how do I go back to stuck rom? Help pls

No SD card issues here. I don't think the ROM is your issue. Try another SD card if you have one or try that card in another phone or device. You can also try to format the card.
 
It cant be the sd because i had it sense i first got my s3,and it was working fine i had this rom for about 2 weeks and yesterday it started to do this so thats why i want to go back too stock rom but it wont let me!?! do i have to do a factory rest and wipe everything?

You can try the stock rom that nuttmeg has posted
