Theres only about 8 of us in here total so your percentage is pretty good. Tw is just too big to test all the time, metro would cap me every month.

I picked up a laptop with windows 8. I formatted and installed window 7 within the hour. (that's how long it took to download a copy, hint, hint)

Lol..thanks man. Ive got a copy (hint hint :p) of Windows 7 I can use but I'd much rather use the OS that came with the pc if possible and so im trying to make it work. As of now, I can decompile but not recompile. I suppose thats something...

Im gonna keep trying to get 8 to do what I want for now. If it doesn't work out ill make the switch, prolly this weekend.
 
Guys I completely lost data I'm using wifi right now but even if I switch to a new modem it still doesn't help what can I do?


I tried reflashing as well but it didn't help

Don't do a backup of a corrupted nv if u didn't do a back up in the beginning and you lose your imei/Esn plus iccid then ur screwed and doing a backup at that stage would be helpless.

If u have still in status your imei/Esn and ur number plus min then the solution is simple revert to stock and I don't mean flash metropolis. Then in backup and reset do a factory data reset. Wait till phone boots up and u should have 4g. NV back up is much more than 4g the number one thing that can't be restored manually yet without backing up is your imei/Esn and iccid everything else can be programmed manually easily. But if you lose those things consider your phone a shiny brick.
 
Note: metro are doing alot of updates so you might be like me and a few others around the Metroplex and a few of my friends in different states that lost 4G/3G/no internet at all. Just post on metro's FB page or send them a private message and thy will respond letting you know if there is a problem in your neck of the woods. ;)

Nuttmeg, you're right man. Metro actually is doing updates at the momento. I work for a Dealer in SoFL, and Sunday we were down because we they were implimenting new features in to our Systems. Also the towers had crashed recently.
 
I manage to hit 12mbps again when towers came back up, I also change to automatic instead of metro pcs in settings.

honestly i've never played with it so i cant comment on it but like always :D never hurts to experiment a lil. perhaps it might help.
 
What he said, after using auto on the esteem days, i get better speeds and with the merge going on you will want your phone to pickup any new added signals and so on.
