SGS4 vs Note 3 ?

I came from the S4 and the Note 3 does almost everything the S4 does. Some differences in the camera and some other little things.

It's the camera faster? I have a lot of lag from the time I touch the shutter button till it takes a pic

Do you have the preview setting on? If so, I've found that contributes to any lag in taking shots. And I realized I didn't need the full screen preview because the tiny screenshot at the bottom corner of the camera is enough for me to go back, if I know a picture didn't take correctly.

No I don't have it on. I had the SGS3 before this and it was fast.

ok. Not sure what it could be on your s4, but the note 3 shutter speed is great. And my relatives that have the s4 seem to have the same speed as my note 3

Every app I had on my S4 works flawlessly on my Note 3. They arguably all got better due to the improved screen real estate. Plus moving to the new processor allows them to function faster and also get improved battery life. Basically, what I'm saying is that the Note is better in every way!

Before I got mine, I'd hear people say that once you go Note, you don't go back. Well, they were right.

Same here, Had the S4 for about 1 month before getting the Note 3. External speaker on the Note 3 blows. However, I do not care that much. Everything else is more awesomeness...

Yes, I have used a couple different Launchers and all the s pen features have worked fine. In fact the only thing I have found that doesn't work is swiping up for my magazine ..

Which, if using Nova Prime, you can set to open My Magazine or the full Flipboard app. I prefer the full Flipboard app, as My magazine seems to be a little buggie.

To change the gestures using Nova Prime, it's in the Nova Prime settings. In fact, you can have a lot more gestures set up. I use all the gestures available and they all work great.

Yeah thats only in the prime version I have it set to access Google now ... I was just stating in general some launchers will not support that feature

Sorry, was just piggy backing on your post so people are aware that it is a customization option.

I use next launcher 3d. I was just wondering if I could still use it. I'm waiting on FedEx to bring my note now.

Thanks everyone! Now I need help, all my pix that was on my SD card are showing in the gallery as little squares with a cracked in them. How do I get my pix?

If you just took the microSD card out and placed it in the Note 3, that would likely be your first mistake.

It's highly recommended that, when transferring to a new phone, copy all the contents of the microSD card onto a hard drive, place the microSD card in the phone and re-format, then transfer all the transferable data (including pictures/music/videos) onto the formatted microSD. That process will eliminate any issues like this.

Ok. They are back. What is that wierd looking N in the status bar? How do i make it go away along with the icon showing me what apps are running?

Look in Settings for NFC, it's only used if you plan on bumping phones with someone. No, seriously. It's near field communications.

I'm really wanting to love this phone but it's not really any diff from my s4 other than the pen of course, and I rarely use it. Is there something I'm missing?
